Just a mini update to let you all know that I am now starting my final week at the Shampooch salon!

Hopefully I've now managed to get back to everyone who has contacted me within the last few days.
If anyone is still awaiting a response from me, please get in touch.

Also, as a heads up, from now onwards this page will start to become less active, as my focus shifts to making sure my new business is as ready as can be, to welcome all my lovely clients! 🐩✨

I've been getting quite a few messages about The Canine Cabin's location, so I thought I'd just give you all a quick update.

Unfortunately, I am unable to divulge an address to anyone quite yet but, please be reassured that I'm staying local and as soon as I can, I'll be letting everyone know the new details.

✨IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CLIENTS✨

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know, and give you all a quick update, regarding my plans for September.
Some of you may have already heard, but I can now confirm that I will be leaving the Shampooch salon at the beginning of September.

Thank you to all of my lovely, wonderful clients for trusting me over the last couple of years with your precious pups and for your continued support. I would not be in this new, exciting situation without you all and I genuinely feel so lucky to have met and built such amazing relationships with my clients, both human and four-legged. Thank you!

For those that are interested, you will be happy to hear that I will be continuing the next step of my grooming career from my own personal grooming salon, where I will be focused upon creating a relaxed, calming, personal, 1-1 grooming experience.

I would love for you all to join me in this new venture, which you can do by following my new business page, 's Canine Cabin, Dog Grooming Salon, in which I will be sharing more information and updates regarding my move, as well as the new chapter in my grooming career.

✨Christmas 2022 at Nikita@Shampooch is now fully wrapped! 🎀🎁☃️🎅🏼🎉

The biggest “Thank you” to all my clients who have visited over the festive period, whether this was for scheduled grooms or for making an extra trip to pop in and see me at the salon.

Also, an equally big “thank you” for all of the gifts, cards and well wishes received during this time. I know I feel extra spoilt this year by all of my wonderfully generous clients!

All that is left to say, is that I wish all of my lovely clients the merriest of Christmases and hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Advance notice of slight price increase for Nikita@Shampooch clients, in effect from Monday 17th October 2022.

Due to the increased cost of energy prices, cost of living and subsequent increased cost of our quality products and equipment, from 17th October there will unfortunately be a slight price increase for my customers.

Price increases will be from £2-5 and will be dependent upon trim/style and breed/size, as well as coat condition and any challenging behaviors.

This decision has not been made lightly, but has been done in order for me to continue providing you all with the very highest standard of quality service and care that I pride myself upon giving.

Your individual support and custom is so very much valued, without you I wouldn’t be able to continue doing what I love, thank you!

Wowsers, it's HOT!! 🔥

We will be taking extra precautions next week whilst working, to ensure everybody's safety. 🌡️

☀️We will be drying and bathing at cooler temperatures than normal.

☀️ Our Air conditioning system will ensure we keep the salon at a cool, safe temperature consistently.

☀️ As always, we will be vigilant with any signs of heatstroke or discomfort.

☀️Cool water will be offered regularly with breaks given throughout grooms.

If you are concerned your pooch may still struggle with travelling to us, please let me know & I'll do my best to reschedule you. 🐾

Here's a few tips to help you & your pooch over the next few days. ☀️

🐶Keep your windows closed and your blinds or curtains drawn.

🐶Ensure your pets have plenty of cool water available.

🐶Avoid where possible leaving your dogs home alone for any period of time.

🐶Use a cool mat or a soaked towel to provide a cooler place to lay down.

🐶Frozen Kongs or chews placed in the fridge are great boredom breakers whilst also helping to keep their core temperature down.

🐶Keep toilet breaks short.

🐶Most importantly, don't walk your dogs during high temperatures/daylight hours.

I know my three will be looking at me in disgust when they realise they won't be getting their usual daily walks, but I'd rather have stroppy dogs than poorly dogs. 💜
