Busy day of home visits today! 😁 All the happy pooches and Mr.Puss (not his real name) had a great time. With the intense heat, we decided to swap walks for home visits, and we're glad all the owners and clients were happy with this decision.

Wow, the weather couldn't decide what it wanted today! From needing waterproofs to switching to a t-shirt all in one day 😂. But that didn't stop the dogs from enjoying their adventures! 🐾

Good morning everyone and your furry friends,

Due to rising temperatures this week, especially Friday with the Met Office predicting temperatures could reach 26°C, we are making some adjustments to ensure your pets stay safe and comfortable.

All walks will be moved to earlier mornings or swapped to home visits. Additionally, walks will be in shady and watery areas and may be shortened based on each individual dog's needs.

🐾 Today, I'm sharing a simple and affordable enrichment activity for your furry friends, perfect for those hot days when walking is just impossible.

🐕‍🦺 1. Start with your dog's food bowl and spread some yogurt all over it.
🐾 2. Next, sprinkle in some kibble.
🍓 3. Add a bit of dog-friendly peanut butter for extra flavor. You can also use other dog-friendly ingredients like fruits, vegetables, or bone broth.
💦 4. Finally, pour in some water and place the bowl in the freezer.

Leave it for a couple of hours, and then it's ready to give to your furry friend. Enjoy! 🐾

🥵 Wow, it's a scorcher today! Our clients and I decided to switch to home visits to keep everyone cool. Even the Passion For Pets pups are enjoying some chill time at home with a refreshing frozen goat milk lick bowl as a treat!

🏡 Flexible Options: We offer home visits as an alternative to walks on particularly hot days, ensuring your dog stays comfortable indoors. We can also reschedule walks to cooler days when necessary

⏳ Shorter Walks: For your dog's safety, walks may be cut short during extreme heat, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable.

🐶 Hydration is Key: I carry fresh water and portable bowls on every walk to keep your dog hydrated.

🌳 Shaded Walks: We choose routes with plenty of shade and take frequent breaks to let your dog rest and cool down.

🌅 Beat the Heat: We schedule walks during the cooler parts of the day, early mornings or late evenings, to avoid the midday heat.

🧊 Cooling Gear: I'm equipped with dog fans, cooling mats and portable shower to cool dogs off, to help regulate your dog’s body temperature.

🚗 No Hot Cars: We never leave dogs in parked cars, ensuring they’re always safe from rising temperatures. The car is also equipped with air conditioning, for cooling when in transportation.

🛑 Heatstroke Vigilance: I'm qualified in Pet First Aid and I'm able to recognize the signs of heatstroke and act quickly to protect your pet.

🐾 Had an amazing time on another adventure walk with Oakley and Lola, plus my two sausages! We explored the woods, enjoying the shade, cooler air, and plenty of opportunities to splash around. 🥰

I've known Oakley and Lola since they were pups, and we've shared countless adventures together. Their strong recall skills are essential, allowing them the freedom to roam off-lead safely. 🐾

What a wonderful day to be back out dog walking! 🐾 I’ve missed all my furry friends. Kicked off the morning with my two energetic buddies, followed by an adventure on the moors with my favorite girl, Rosie. Finished the day with a relaxing walk through the fields with Alfie, enjoying some chill time and taking in the scenery. 🥰

At Passion For Pets, we had a fantastic and exhilarating agility holiday with our wonderful friends, supporting them throughout the weekend. While we enjoyed cheering on the competitors this year instead of participating, we had an amazing time. We’ll be back in action soon! 🐾

What a fantastic day for adventures with these wonderful doggies! 😜

We kicked things off with Rosie and Murphy exploring the woods together (despite the pesky flies 🤢). Then, enjoyed a peaceful stroll with Alfie the Westie, such a sweet old chap.

Next, I picked up Alfie Boyo the Spaniel for an energetic walk on the cinder track, where we had the pleasure of bumping into the lovely Sarah from Take The Lead Whitby. It was great to see both our pups enjoying the trail.

This afternoon included a couple of meet and greets, and I've wrapped up the day with some fun time with my goofy sausages before we heard back for dinner! 🐾😊
