The Wonky Donkey Cafe, Community Farm and Sanctuary We work with these animals to bring them out of their shells into confident, friendly, loveable creatures that people can enjoy.

We are a farm animal sanctuary, we take in donkeys, ponies, sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, ponies etc that people can no longer look after, may have been mistreated, neglected, orphaned etc. We offer our animals as a therapy to lots of groups from disabled, people with mental health issues, people with dementia, vulnerable children...the list is endless. We find that people can really relate to

these animals, especially if they have a similar difficult background. Animals listen but don't judge and this in itself can be so therapeutic for someone who doesn't want to off load to a person. All our animals have their own story and we find that they can help so many people in different ways. We want to not just take in these animals but offer them to our local community to enjoy aswell 🙂

We had a fun morning with Shannon and Jade from the Pembrokeshire day opportunities feeding the goats and all the other animals as well as mucking out and topping up the waters before the cafe opened.

Got Armani to do my weeding on the patio 🤣

👋👋🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙👋👋 We have welcomed Shaun the alpaca into the wonky gang this evening. Shaun is 9yrs old but has a terrible skin condition that despite the owners best efforts to manage has been unsuccessful. Weve therefore agreed to take him in here in the hope that we can offer more time to his ongoing skin problems. We will be calling the specialist vet to come up with an action plan. After closing the cafe today we headed off to collect Tom, a handsome 10yr old donkey that we had been asked to take in. Apologies to the neighbours for all the braying as they all welcomed Tom to the gang ☺️

James and volunteer Blake have been trying their hand at fencing today so the 4 lambs in the barn can start living outside more. We love learning new skills at The Wonky Donkey Cafe - Llwyngwyddel Farm Animal Sanctuary CIC. 👏👏 Job well done lads 👏👏

It's all about Sheep today. We noticed Gwyn was limping and so we bribed them with biscuits so that we could catch him. Checked him over and found a long thorny bramble wedged between his toes, safely removed and a quick spray with anti septic and he was good to go again 😊

Well here's something we took delight in today...Armani did his first proper lamb jumping 😁. We don't think his front leg will get much better but he's managing and today he seemed really happy after we moved them to the big pen for the next recovery stage. His skin is still sore and peeling but were trying a new ointment today so hopefully it will help the healing process. He surely is a little treasure ☺️
