Lots of fun with these cuties today. The beach was pretty deserted and I think we may have covered every inch of it. Cookie led the way with lots of crazy chasing and Osmo enjoyed his time with his girlfriend Darcy. 😊🐾🐶

Archie enjoyed his time with the girls today. Luna looking just lovely was very busy with lots of sniffing. Darcy enjoyed a good chase and tussle with Archie who I think wore everyone out. And cookie’s highlight was finding some remaining snow that was hidden in a sheltered spot in the field. She gave her face a good rub in it. I’ve no idea why but the joy this gives her is immeasurable. 🐶🐾❤️

Osmo was delighted to have some quality time with the ladies today in the form of girlfriend Darcy and lovely Luna. There was much chasing, puddle jumping and running followed by, I imagine, a well earned snooze this afternoon. 🐶🐾❤️

There wouldn’t be a Barking Buddies without Kidd n Snore and the wonderful Fiona Kidd so it was an emotional lunch to mark Fi’s retirement and the end of an era.

Fi has been an excellent mentor and wise counsel and her advice and support in setting up the business was invaluable.

She’s helped so many new dog businesses get established and I’m not the only one who will be forever in her debt because of it.

We all wish Fi a happy and healthy retirement.

The mighty Osmo looking very handsome and striking his best pose today in Holywell dene. He was giddy as a kipper as my mam would say. Beside himself with excitement running frantic zoomies up and down the bank for reasons I couldn’t fathom - must have been sniffing the acorns. 🤣 Bailey was typically unaffected and was quite excited too in his own understated way. He enjoyed a swim and they both had a plodge. The dene looking absolutely beautiful this time of year. Very peaceful. At least until we arrived. ❤️🐾🐶

Gorgeous day out at dog fest today with the lovely Charlie P. We did doggy parkour which was a lot of fun - Charlie was excellent and very keen once the cheese appeared. We didn’t sadly go back in the ring to defend our 5th scruffiest mutt title but scruffy or otherwise Charlie is a champ in my eyes. 🥰

Lovely to see Finbob and Alli representing Dog Aid a wonderful charity that helps disabled people train their own assistance dogs. They are an inspiring partnership and the joy they get from one another just melts my heart.

Boys were back in town today. Bailey and Osmo joined by beautiful Archie for a lovely walk around Backworth and Seghill. Bailey disappeared from view briefly and when he reappeared well let’s just say I could smell him before I saw him. 🤢 I don’t know what he’d smeared over himself but the stench was fierce. (Apologies Wills family). Archie wore Osmo out with some energetic chase and we all came home covered in sticky balls. 🐾🐶

Osmo definitely had his posing pants on today spurred on in part I’m sure by the promise of a bacon sizzler. Bailey playing it cool with his handsome but aloof pose inspired by 80s Calvin Klein. Me? Well I’m just happy to be out enjoying the fresh air with this gorgeous pair. 🐶🐾❤️

Bailey is looking absolutely splendid with his new summer hair cut. This was not lost on Dolly. Dolly thinks everything he does is simply wonderful and his mastery of the water sends her into a frenzy of giddy ness. They both enjoyed the cool water of the dene today though the highlight for miss Dolly was definitely having Bailey all to her self. ❤️🐾🐶

Have you ever seen a better looking bunch of poos?? Charlie, Osmo, Dolly, Darcy and Bailey made the most of the glorious sunshine with some quality beach time at beautiful Cambois. It was stunning there today and with low tide there was miles of beach to run on - and I think we covered every inch of it!
Dolly had her running shoes on and enjoyed showing Osmo and Darcy exactly why when it comes to the high speed chase she is the GOAT. 💪 Bailey worked himself up into frenzy with some first class swimming, and a satisfying roll in decomposing marine life. Charlie - well I think he peaked earlier in the week and was quite happy to plodge and left the high speed shenanigans to the younger ones. 🐶🐾❤️☀️🕶

Beautiful walk today exploring Wallsend Dene and Willington gut with Bailey, Osmo and the furry tyrant a.k.a Dolly. Bailey is looking very sleek with his new summer hair cut and was giddy playing in the water until we encountered a very indignant swan. Bailey was not a fan and I think the feeling was mutual. Bailey bid a hasty retreat much to the swan’s relief.
There was lots of things for humans to see and read about - ruins of a 12 century chapel built with reclaimed Roman stone that we stumbled upon in holy cross, the salt marsh, and I found myself commenting ( yes to the dogs) what a lovely bridge. Words I never thought I’d hear myself say out loud. 🤔
The tyrant , sorry Dolly, was not impressed with these pointless pauses and I soon got a firm tap on the legs to tell me to get going. So I’d like to tell you more about the sights but I didn’t have time to finish reading - she who must be obeyed simply wouldn’t allow it. 😁🐶🐾❤️

Darcy and Dolly were back with us today. Darcy treats every walk like a royal visit. She likes to make sure everyone in the park has an opportunity to greet her and admire her gorgeousness. You’ll often finding her touring the car park just in case she missed anyone on her first round. Darcy is by far the best poser we have and I just love these photos of her smiling with her eyes in the flowers. Her cheeky grin is infectious. 🥰 Bailey is certainly a fan….
Osmo clearly had had his ready brek this morning. High speed doodle dashes among the dandelions with Darcy, up and down the hills at the dene with Dolly - he was turbo charged and loving life today. Dolly had her running shoes on too and is still undisputed champion of the doodle dash. 🐶🐾❤️

It’s been a tale of 3 poos today - fox, horse and rabbit 🤦‍♀️ and of course Dolly in fine cover girl form, Bailey and Charlie. Each walk seemed to produce a smorgasbord of poo and one by one they chose their particular favourite. A rather ill timed walk (on my part) past the stables resulted in a delighted Charlie going awol for a bath and a roll in the by product of mucking out time. He couldn’t have more delighted.
We had a close encounter with lots of ducks at Newsham pond this morning - sending Dolly into an excited frenzy. Bailey happily swims among them without giving them a second glance. Charlie meanwhile was still dreaming of his manure adventure and likewise completely disinterested.
Later Dolly misjudged the depth of the Seaton Burn and found herself immersed in her own version of the ice bucket challenge. Totally ruined her new fluffy hair do. Shivering she crawled out with as much dignity as she could muster. Thankfully that manure was warm and still steaming. …. 😬

Lovely spring flowers and big pink tongues today. Luna had fun jumping in the dene and showing off her massive tongue. Bailey enjoyed ‘watering’ the daffodils. Frequently. Osmo was in fine spirits today sporting a cheeky little grin although he joined with Maisie and Bailey for some fantastically serious photo posing. ❤️🐾🐶

Monochrome Monday. Lovely Luna joined us today for some sniffing and beach time shenanigans at Seaton Sluice. She was such a good girl and welcome to join us any time. Bailey enjoyed some epic sniffing and took the new addition in his stride. 🐶🐾❤️

Wet windy wintry walk today. ( oh how I love a bit of mid week alliteration) Today we were joined by the very handsome freshly groomed Bilbo who was looking and smelling rather magnificent and gorgeous Cookie who seems to be determined to find ever creative ways of potentially poking her eye out. Wherever there is a spikey bush you’ll find Cookie rubbing her face in it. It’s eyeball roulette.

We also met Bailey’s girlfriend Sue from Coastal Canines which led to much merriment all round. Bilbo couldn’t believe his luck. Bailey, already giddy with the addition of cookie, and a rather fluffy sweet smelling Bilbo , struggled to contain himself.

It turns out Osmo is also not immune to Sue’s charms and with the exception of Cookie ( possibly because like her mum she can only see out of one eye) they all quite happily would have jumped in her van and defected in a heart beat. ❤️🐶🐾

Super sniffing in Seaton Sluice today (welcome to alliteration Wednesday). Started off at Churchill playfields for a pre walk walk and Bailey was over the moon to see his girlfriend Sue from Coastal Canines . Then on to seaton sluice for sniffy sleuthing. Darcy is very good at the sniffy game and if all else fails she waits for Bailey to sniff out the treat and then tries to mug him - she’s smarter than the average bear! Osmo was full of beans and excited zoomies and delighted to spend time with his chase partner Darcy. 🐾❤️🐶

Coast, countryside and cuddles sums up our day.
Charlie Parker was on outstanding cheeky form and as you can see he’s been taking some modelling notes from Darcy who fell in the duck pond at lunch time but managed to style it out effortlessly regaining her composure.
Dolly dot was her usual adorable self and I think she rather enjoyed watching Darcy’s impromptu dip. 🤣🐶🐾
