A belated Happy New Year from us here at the Grooming room 🎉

16 years under the under the belt - an accomplishment by anyone’s standards. We still have year 1 clients from when Julie first opened the business in 2008 🙌🏻

Those guys will tell you that the prices have hardly changed in those years. We have always tried to keep it as affordable as possible but now it is to our detriment.

I need to be able to pay the staff a wage that is fair and we refuse to use cheap and nasty products to keep costs down. The doggos deserve the best 🙌🏻

So with that in mind there will be a small price increase effective from next week. Even with this, we still remain competitive whilst offering the huge wealth of knowledge and experience on all things dogs and grooming 😊🐾

We hope you understand & thanks for yet another year of support 🐾🙌🏻🦴🐩🦮🐶

We’re working our way through the many messages regarding the assistant role!

Just to answer a couple of questions-

the hours will mostly be over Friday and Saturday with a view to add a Wednesday.

It’s a 9am start and finish time will vary - no later than 6.

We will give everyone a chance via trial shift and if you love us and vice Versa then it’s on!

🚨JOB ALERT🚨

We are looking for a hard working, animal loving person to join our team to assist Leigh and Jamie-Lee in the salon.

This Role will include -

• Bathing & Drying
• Brushing out
• Ultrasonic teeth cleaning
• Cleaning duties
• Managing stock levels
• Cuddling dogs of shapes and sizes

Our last assistant moved into basic clipping and this is our hope for our next addition to the team.

This role is very physical and you will get dirty 😅

10 hours p/w to start but as we approach Christmas this will increase.

Please share with anyone you think may fit the bill.

It’s set to be a scorcher today ☀️

Top tips for dog owners during these tropical climates⬇️

•Avoid walking your furry friends in peak heat
(Early morning or late evening)
•Make sure they have access to shades areas
•Access to fresh cool drinking water is a MUST
•Do the tarmac test -

If you can’t comfortably hold your hand on the tarmac for 5 seconds then postpone your walk until you can.
