Here we go again! The past two years we have battled with Covid and then this year, whoever would have thought that we would be battling with the weather, and no, not the usual fingers and toes crossed that it doesn't rain 🌧️ But everything crossed that it cools back down to good old British weather!
So lets try again! The new date for our fun day and dog show will be
Sunday 25th September. 11am till 4pm.
Please everyone help us make it bigger and better than ever, please all share and we look forward to seeing you all 🐶

We would like to say a huge thank you to Tony for donating £205 to our vet account from the sale of his beautiful Betsy Cards and to everyone that supported Tony by purchasing one! 💖

In April this year Betsy (pictured here) and myself launched a fundraiser selling a special greetings card - each with her paw print printed on the reverse and signed & dated by me.....Betsy would like to say a HUGE ‘THANK YOU’ to all of the friends and kind customers who purchased a card - or cards as a couple of you very kind souls bought 6 each (you know who you are x).
Jo who runs Redwood asked that I pay towards their ongoing Vet bill so this morning the whole amount has been paid to their Veterinary Surgery in Herne Bay who give great support to Redwood Rescue and Rehome.

I will continue to sell the cards I have left during next year at 2022 CraftFairs on behalf of Redwood and see if we can raise more for this very worthwhile charity.

There was quite a lot of interest in the paw print light box at the Redwood Meal last night so here's a little more info!
They are layered, cut card inside a 25x25cm shadow box.
These are the designs currently available and I'm adding more as I go! They can be customised and personalised with vinyl lettering at no extra cost.

Just making everyone aware. This individual does NOT work for Redwood.
No idea why they're saying they do but it happens from time to time.
Just to clarify, Redwood is owned and run by Jo Morley who isn't on Facebook and the page is run by Lisa Ashdown (me) and Kathryn O'Neil.
We have local fosters, volunteers and supporters but NO employees!!!

Reggie is a sweet boy who is looking for experienced, confident owners.
He is a nervous chap who needs reassurance and continued training.
For this reason, he is best suited to a calmer home environment with someone that can show him that life isn't so scary when you have someone that loves you.
Hes quite a strong chap due to his size so please take that into consideration as he will need regular exercise and a safe enclosed garden.

He has received some training in foster and come such a long way. He's still a little bouncy but is crate trained and walks so much better on lead.

Really need to find a forever home for Jimmy, a male lurcher around 2 years old. Please share but ONLY if you think someone would offer him the right home.

He can be anxious so needs someone home most of the time. He is crate trained but wouldn't recommend leaving him for longer than half an hour or an hour max. He would probably be best living with another dog (but not with cats). He's very dog- and child-friendly. He needs an EXPERIENCED and PATIENT owner.

Redwood lost a very special boy today 🌈🐾
Stanley came into rescue as a 6 month old pup and was fostered and then adopted by Lisa.
Since then, he has been a foster brother to over 80 Redwood dogs and puppies.
He truly was an incredible boy and will be very greatly missed 💔 Run free Stanley

Jimmy is a lurcher, around 2 years old, looking for his forever
home - ideally an experienced and patient dog owner, who has a dog already and is home much of the time. He has been with a foster family (and whippet!) in Whitstable for five months, having been a stray. He's a very affectionate and gentle dog, and a real couch potato! He's very sociable with other dogs. He is house trained and crate trained, though as he can be anxious in new situations we'd advise not leaving him for too long. He's chipped, neutered, fully wormed and vaccinated. Will need a home with a very secure garden (at least 6ft fencing). Please message us or share if you know anyone interested.

FOSTER/ FOREVER HOME NEEDED
Please read carefully before enquiring further

Misty came into rescue as an abuse case and was heavily pregnant.
She is currently in foster until her spay on the 25th May.
Misty requires a longer term foster or ideally a forever home.
She is a beautiful girl who is house trained, crate trained and muzzle trained.
She loves people but CANNOT live with other pets.
Misty is very dog reactive in all situations and so will need to remain on lead and muzzled in ALL public places.
If an offlead dog approaches Misty, she WILL react and has had altercations in the past.
This aside, she is a lovely girl and has been working with a behaviourist for some time now and made brilliant progress.
She needs a home with an enclosed garden (not a communal garden) and with a confident owner who is willing to continue her training and accept that she does not like other dogs.
In the right home, she will be an absolute delight ❤

Stanz Cord Craft was set up to assist with fundraising for Redwood Rescue and Rehome, a dog rescue in SE Kent.
Stanz predominantly makes custom collars and leads but also wristwear and custom makes. If it can be made with Paracord, Stanz will make it!
There are a huuuuge variety of colours to choose from.
Payment accepted via PayPal or bank transfer and postage to anywhere in the UK.
Postage outside of the UK will incur further shipping costs.
Paracord (Parachute Cord) is extremely strong and Paracord Collars are suitable for any breed of dog.
Although Paracord is very popular in the US, the craft is still fairly rare in the UK.
Be different and be the envy of your friends!

Styx is a big lad but hes very gentle
He is very good at jumping fences so high fences are a must and he must be supervised outside (we can advise training support through our behaviourist).
He came in as a stray so we have no history on him but he has been a sweetheart in foster since before Christmas
