It's not everyday a client gets you to ride their horse to feel the difference. 😊

I have been treating Summer regularly for months, and directing her owner on prehabilitation exercises to improve joint range of motion, as well as core stabilisation to complement her physiotherapeutic journey from riding school horse to a dressage/leisure horse.🐎

The owner has judiciously followed the prehab plan with the ground work and pole exercises, whilst incorporating carrot stretches and limb stretches into Summer's daily regime.

With a spring in her step and much more even, round movements; Summer is now working towards the E-riders winter championships - Good luck to them both.

With the dreaded winter months moving in it is worth checking to see if the blissful summer months of eventing, show-jumping or cantering through fields has made your horse sore. What a day - A massive thank you to who invited me and .pony11 to join the coursewalk at Blenheim through their members competition. It was really enlightening to explore how an elite rider tackles some of the hardest courses in the world and really refreshing to hear the different ways which optimum horse welfare nurtures optimum horse performance.

Happy to say I am now a registered professional with the Animal Health Professionals Register under the sports therapy and massage subgroup. This is a voluntary register which assures a steady standard for animal therapists working within the UK. Requirements of mandatory qualifications, insurance and CPD hours insure competency.
