Welcome to my page, I hope you enjoy the content I share with you, and the handy hints and tips I share, as well as the photos of my grooms which include not only dogs, but cats, rabbits & guinea pigs too!
I can answer any queries you may have about grooming, or if you have a training question then head over to my training page www.facebook.com/Andistrainingsolutions
Cat grooming starts at £10+, for a full groom its £35, if your cat is matted then it starts at £35+, just ask or better still send a photo or video and I can give a more accurate price, it all depends what condition the cat is in to what price it is! Cat owners are required to wait with me as your familiar to the cat and can assist with the chin tickles to keep the cat as calm as possible.
Rabbit & guinea pig owners are also required to wait, again because your familiar to your pet, you also handle the pet for me as and when required.
*I do not do silly ‘lion cuts’ or similar on cats for ‘fashion’ as it puts the cat under un-necessary stress for the purpose of vanity. Cats are only groomed to help maintain a nice coat, or to remove matting.
If you bring a matted animal to me (or any groomer) you will find that they will be clipped off, as matting causes the animal pain on every movement they make, as it is close to the skin and pulls whenever they move, as a pet professional it is our duty to make sure the animals are free from pain, Animals will always come before humans vanity. We realise that most people want there dogs ‘fluffy’ but you must realise we are not magicians, we cannot wave a magic wand over those knots and they will be gone, and no, we also wont spend hours trying to get them out as this again causes pain and discomfort to your pet, the only way we can help your pet is by clipping it off, this is not something we enjoy doing, as we too like to see the dogs with nice fluffy coats and in good condition.
If you dogs has never been groomed before then you need to make regular appointments, Puppies need booking in as soon as their allowed out, the sooner they get used to the process the sooner they learn its nothing to fear, I want animals to enjoy their time with me, not be terrified because the owner doesn't like to think they might be upset, keeping your dog away from the groomers because he is frightened is the worst thing you can do, the dogs that do the best with grooming are the ones that have been coming regularly from a young age, as these dogs see it as a way or life, the once a year dogs see it as punishment.
Thank you for taking time to read my ‘about me’ section and I hope you enjoy my page
