What can I say, the weather has been less than predictable so far this 'Summer' but it's been lovely seeing our SJ course being enjoyed by our customers who have ventured out.

Don't forget, we are always happy to rearrange your booking if the weather turns nasty.

So well deserved Alasdair J Matheson. We know first hand the positive impact he has with his coaching style, just wish he wasn't so far away from us these days.

So proud of Alasdair J Matheson for being awarded the Farney Grange trophy for Scotlands most popular coach presented to him by HRH Princess Anne at the opening of the new British Horse Society Hub at Stirling.

Alasdair joined the Gleneagles Equestrian Team back in November 2020 as Assistant Manager and he has been a hurricane of fresh air! He is the hardest working and most enthusiastic coach I have ever had the pleasure of working with. No matter if it’s a regular client, hotel guest or, by far the most entertaining, his Pony Club and leadreins he is a true attribute to the Scottish equestrian industry.

Our arena continues to be available to hire from as little as £5 per hour and we have a good selection of jumps and fillers to keep you and your horse more than busy.

For an additional small charge, I am also happy to be present during your hire to lower, raise or replace knocked poles so that you can maximise your time in the saddle. Equally I'm more than happy to offer moral support if you are riding alone.

⚠️IMPORTANT NEWS ⚠️

The Highway Code is being updated from end of January 2022 to help protect vulnerable road users.

These updates to the rules aim to protect the most vulnerable road users. Creating a hierarchy of users, including pedestrians, particularly children, older or disabled people, cyclists, motorcyclists, and horse riders.

With regards to passing horses, road users must:
🐴 pass horses (including horse drawn vehicles) under 10mph
🐴 give a 2m clearance when passing, and if this is not possible it will be the law to wait until it is clear to do so.

So, the BBC's CountryFile show gave UK farming a bit of a bashing this week about how many tons of carbon a cow produces and how bad it is for the environment... Really?!! Then have a look at this! Feel free to share the how farmers actually REDUCE the amount of carbon released.
