KWK9 Rescue

KWK9 Rescue A Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation SCO41937 We aim to match each dog with the new owner who best meets the dog's needs.

Our Aims:

To offer dogs a second leash of life:

We aim to offer the best possible care to our dogs while they are with us and until their right 'forever home' is found. We will interact with and assess each dog while in our care, so that new owners can be provided with as full a picture as possible. We will carry out a home check to assess suitablility prior to adoptions. We will offer advice an

d support to new owners prior to and after adoption. We aim to try neuter when it is in the best interest of the animal or owner to do so. We aim to microchip where possible.

A MESSAGE FROM DAVE

Hello my wonderful friends! Today I am wearing my professional face because I have been employed as an Advisor for KWK9 and I take my duties very seriously!

When I became a KWK9 dog my life changed enormously. Everyone helped me along the way until I was adopted by my wonderful Mum and Dad. It was a marvellous experience staying with my foster carers but nothing, just nothing compares to finding your forever, loving home.

So here I am, helping KWK9 find homes like mine for all the dogs who come into their care and counselling those who are waiting and worried they may not be as fortunate as myself. Can you remember I told Tucker he would be OK? .....and he was, much more than OK. He's a very lucky boy too!

At the moment I'm working with Sammy. Sammy needs a new home because his Mum is finding it difficult to look after him. Sammy is strong and needs exercise which his Mum is unable to provide now. Both Sammy and his Mum are very sad about this but I've explained all will be well. Someone will come forward to offer Sammy all he needs. He certainly deserves it because he has always been a very good boy and it would be so nice to give his Mum peace of mind knowing he will be loved as she has loved him.

My friends, please help me look after Sammy whilst he waits for a new home. Consider this beautiful boy. He's part Labrador and being a handsome black Lab myself I can vouch he will turn heads wherever he goes. You will never be short of company!

If you are unable to offer Sammy a home can you share my post?
Let's all work together and have the happiest outcome. Help make Sammy and his Mum's wishes come true.

Thank you for reading my letter. I will be popping onto the KWK9 Facebook in my new role from time to time so keep an eye on Sammy and those who will need my support in the future.

As always love from Dave, woof woof xx

!! Introducing our new sponsors !!

We are so grateful that Kyle & Lewis have chosen us as the charity for their exciting challenge.

🚗🐾 HIGHLAND HEROES TAKE ON EUROPEAN ADVENTURE TO HELP KWK9!

Two brothers from the Highlands are revving up for the journey of a lifetime, driving thousands of miles across Europe in their trusty Citroën Berlingo – all to raise vital funds and awareness for KWK9!

Kyle and Lewis, known together as TEAM HIGHLAND HEROES, will join the famous Two Ball Rally – Original Route 2026, setting off 13–17 August 2026. They will follow the historic route that winds through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco and back into France – covering over 1,200 miles of incredible scenery, mountain passes and iconic roads, all in their humble but reliable Berlingo.

🚙 THE ADVENTURE: TWO BALL RALLY ORIGINAL ROUTE 2026

The Two Ball Rally is one of Europe’s best-loved charity adventure events – open to any vehicle, from classics to everyday cars, and famous for its original route across nine countries in just five days. Teams complete challenges, enjoy the journey and raise money for causes close to their hearts.

For Kyle and Lewis, it was the perfect match:
“We’re proud Highlanders, we love dogs, and we love a challenge,” explains Kyle. “When we saw the Original Route – the classic journey across Europe – we knew immediately: we want to do this, and we want to do it for KWK9. They’re right on our doorstep, doing amazing work with limited resources, and every penny we raise will go straight to the dogs. Our Berlingo might not be fancy, but it’s tough, it’s reliable, and it’s going to take us all the way – every mile is for them.”

Lewis adds: “We’re calling ourselves Highland Heroes – not because we’re heroes, but because we want to be heroes for the dogs. We’re taking the spirit of the Highlands – hard work, heart and looking out for others – all the way through Europe. It’s going to be tough, it’s going to be fun, and we hope everyone will get behind us.”

Sammy

Sammy is approx 9-year-old, male Staffie x lab.

He is much loved but due to health reasons his owner is looking to find him a new home.

He is a very bouncy, excited, bundle of joy and wants to greet all visitors to the house with face licks (as we found out the hard way 😂). He is very affectionate and likes to follow his owner around the house.

When out walking he is strong on the lead and can get very excited when he sees other dogs which makes him pull so new owners would need to be able for this.

Sammy didn’t have the best start in life and does have some resulting trauma. He does not like fireworks/ loud bangs. He dose not like to be shut in a room or a crate and likes to be able to have full use of the house. He does not like to be in the garden alone so will only stay out if you are also outside or nearby.

As he is so bouncy he would not suit a home with young children. Untested with cats. He has a sensitive stomach so he is on special food which would need to be maintained.

If you would be interested in giving him a new home then please complete an adoption form on our website.
