Great progress with Gizmo ⭐️🐾🎉
Gizmo is a rescue chihuahua, who was found roaming the streets of Wickford, her past is unknown so gaining her trust took time, patience, positive reinforcement & lots of treats!
Almost a year & a half on, Gizzy now loves my visits & company 🥰
Gizzy, although loves the thought of heading out for a walk, would end up feeling overwhelmed by the outside world… so since returning from maternity leave, I’ve made it my mission to increase our walk duration & today we managed a 20+ minute walk for the first time!
We’ve got a way to go but what an achievement - well done Giz! 🎉❤️
I will always go above & beyond for my furry gang & tailor their walks or pop-ins to their wants & needs. Please get in touch today if you would like your furry friend to join the gang! 📲🐾

THE SUMMER HOLIDAY POP-IN SEASON & ‘SHELL’EBRATIONS (🐢 sorry) HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN 🏡🌞
I was super busy with my usual furry friend pop-ins this weekend but I especially loved looking after this little one! 🥒🥬🥕
As a Veterinary Nurse, I have lots of knowledge & experience in looking after all creatures furry, feathered & scaly! 🐈 🐭 🐇 🐹 🐢 🐔

Rocky & Flopsy 🐰🥕
I looked after this lovely duo (& their 2 guinea pig friends, who were always too quick for the camera 😂🐹💨) for the weekend. Rocky & I build up quite a bond and by the end of our visits, was coming up to me for some fuss & treats 🥰 I look forward to seeing them again in the summer!
During my visits, I kept a close eye on Rocky & Flopsy’s food/water intake as well as their urine/faecal output as rabbits, due to being hind-gut fermenters (which means that food gets rapidly digested in the caecum), rabbits must constantly graze to help prevent gut stasis. Gut stasis, which means that food stops moving through the gastrointestinal tract, can be fatal if left untreated. Having a high-fibre (and low carbohydrate) diet - lots of hay & green veg alongside pellets - and minimising stress will also help prevent the occurrence of gut stasis.
Rabbits are prey animals and so are experts at hiding their pain and stress, but as an experienced Veterinary Nurse, I will be able to notice these subtle signs if they were to arise and can act promptly, which will prevent rapid deterioration of your furry friend.
This all means that you can go on your holidays reassured, knowing that your small furries are in the best possible hands 🐰🐹🌿
