🚨 URGENT – Bailey needs a home! 🚨

This lovely boy Bailey has found himself without a home after his 90-year-old owner was admitted to hospital and is sadly unable to return. At 9 years old, this gentle black Labrador just wants a warm bed, a loving family, and a place to call home again.

💔 Bailey is in kennels and we desperately want to find him a forever home where he can feel safe and loved.

About Bailey:
✔️ Well-mannered, friendly boy
✔️ Good traveller
✔️ Best suited as the only dog in the home
✔️ Needs a home where he’ll have company most of the day

GUSTY WIND TODAY - take extra care for your furry friends!

Please check all fences and gates BEFORE letting your pets out this morning. Don’t just assume everything is as you left it last night, do a manual check of gates and your whole fence before letting your dog into your garden.

Check on animals who may live outside (eg birds/small animals/outdoor cats), make sure they are safe and comfortable. The wind is making it feel colder than it has been recently, so they may need some extra bedding or a cover over their shelter area.

SECURE YOUR DOGS when walking - use two points of contact and high visibility equipment if possible. ANIMALS CAN SPOOK EASILY IN THE WIND and quickly become disorientated or likely to run away if a gust of wind moves things around, so be aware of increased escape risk even on walks. This is very important for all dogs but especially newly adopted, nervous or foreign dogs. It’s worth the extra few minutes of planning to keep them safe 🙏🏼

⚠️MAKE SURE YOUR DOGS HAVE ID TAGS ON THEIR COLLARS AND MICROCHIP DETAILS ARE ALL UP TO DATE.

⚠️ REMEMBER, STRAY DOGS TAKEN BY THE WARDENS DON'T STAY IN LIVERPOOL.

Please please PLEASE check and double-check ALL fences and gates in this extreme weather before you even think of letting your dog out. Dogs will be spooked by the wind and any dogs who do escape are at extra risk in conditions like this. It only takes a second!

Please secure your dogs on walks using two points of contact and hi-viz equipment to make yourselves easier for motorists to see, and don’t let dogs off lead as the wind can easily disorientate and confuse them, making them more likely to run away. Look after your furry friends!
