It’s become a miserable day today 🌧️ so here is a video of one of our group walks to brighten your day! 🤩
Buddy, Stan, Lottie and Ronnie all love spending their time together socialising and being stimulated both mentally and physically 👌🏻
This video is also great to show how dogs communicate & set boundaries as shown by Ronnie vocalising to buddy when he has the stick. This is often mistaken for a dog being ‘aggressive’ or ‘nasty’ but they are just simply communicating and setting boundaries.
As seen Ronnie is more than happy to let Buddy have the stick when he gets to it first. Stan on the other hand… well Stan is just cheeky Stan 🤣. Lottie absolutely loves chasing the other dogs trying to keep up with them (even with her little legs)
We wouldn’t have them any other way 💙
Well it’s been a busy week so far but we wouldn’t have it any other way 👌🏻
Here’s a little progress update on Molly 🤩
Molly’s handlers have been doing an amazing job on maintaining her training. We’ve been working on tightening up the heel and creating more structure through verbal commands.
It’s so amazing to see a transformation like this and give the dogs and their handlers a far better quality of life 👌🏻
Happy Friday everyone! 🤩
Just a reminder to keep your dogs safe in the warm weather ☀️
Dogs can’t regulate their internal body temperature the same as us humans can, which means they are more susceptible to heat exhaustion, even if us humans don’t think it’s that warm.
Here’s Milo on a calm, cool, loose lead Maintenance Walk through Borsdane Woods where there is plenty shade and a water source near by 🌥️
This handsome boy has come a long way in his training and now has regular maintenance walks to keep the consistency going 🤩👌🏻
A huge well done to Milo and his owners for putting in the work with the little time they have 👏🏻
If you're looking for a dog walker look no further!
Here is one of our small dog group walks...calm, controlled and most importantly SAFE. Ensuring physical and mental stimulation is our goal!
This also shows how happy confident and trusting the dogs are with us when you guys are busy. They're happy to be right by our side whilst also having fun with their friends ♥️
Message us for more details 🐶
Sharing is caring right?!
Stan and Lottie definitely think so on their group walk today 🤣 well maybe Lottie abit more than Stan!!
Little besties having the most fun ♥️
Well that's another bank holiday done and dusted!! We were very busy and our doggies had a lovely time.
Don't forget we still have some available slots for dog walking now everyone is back at work. We can make sure your doggies are having the best time while you are busy.
Your dog could be as happy as Poppy was even in the pouring down rain last week! What a beautiful girl 😍♥️
Holiday season is also upon us so if you need a helping hand while you are sunning it up please pop us a message to see how we can help! 🌞
It was Molly’s 1st lead control session today 🤩
This 18 month old girl did exceptionally well this morning. She’s very excitable and energetic so for her to behave this well on her very 1st session was outstanding.
We’ve still got a bit of work to do going forward but the future is bright for Molly and all her handlers.
Consistency, persistence & patience are key to maintain good behaviours.
Well done Molly, we’ll look forward to working with you again on Monday 😁
Huge welcome to the newest member of the pack...Poppy!!
Such a happy, bouncy puppy enjoying her first walk today 🐶
The rain didn't stop our fun at all we absolutely loved it ♥️
Look at this group walk of doggies just having the most fun time!!
Group walks are a really great tool to socialize your dogs in a sensible and responsible way. They will learn boundaries and learn so much from the other dogs they go with.
As you can see from the video they will also have lots of balls to chase and be having the most fun we can cram into 1 hour!!
There is nothing better than knowing your dog is having fun, making friends and learning new things while you are busy.
We have lots of availability so do pop us a message to get booked in. Be quick!
Dog Socialisation
Here's some basic socialising tips! 🐕🐕🦺
This video (from a few weeks back) is very interesting from a Behavioural point of view. 🤔
We have 2 dogs (Bobby & Lottie) this is their first walk together. Lottie has been in many group walks with a number of dogs and is usually very confident & excitable.
For whatever reason she was very wary of Bobby in the beginning which took me by surprise.
This wasn't a training session so its not strictly 'by the book'.
Here's a short break down of each section of the video:
1 - Encouraging the dogs to play & leading by example through interacting with Bobby myself to show there's no threat. You can see she is looking to me for guidance & confidence.
2 - As Lottie builds more confidence & begins to interact back with Bobby, you can see she is still trying to find confidence & security in myself. Since she is half way to playing I step away to allow Lottie to find the confidence to interact on her own (in some situations this isn't recommended, but for this situation it is). Towards the end you can see Lottie 'mouth' Bobby's nose and turn her head away - this is a warning that she's had enough & he should stop. This is where you would take up the Leader role & take charge of the situation.
3 - Once there's a hierarchy established both dogs are now confident and happy to play as if nothing ever happened 🤣🥳
For any Behavioural, Training or general issues with your dogs, get in touch and we'll help you out. 💙
Never thought we’d see this day 🤣😍
Here’s one of our regular group walks with Ronnie, Milo & Lottie.
Little Milo got a taste for fetch hahaha!
This is such a lovely group to walk 💙
Well this afternoon has certainly been a different story to this morning ☀️🤣
After a big ordeal impacting Rocco’s confidence in the house this week, we decided to treat him to some off-lead fun.
It’s nice to see that his confidence outside is still intact and he can enjoy some free time with some ‘questionable’ recall 🤣🤣
We love Rocco and have been working with him pretty much since day one (only focusing on Lead Control & Heel Walking) because of this we have developed an amazing relationship built on trust & leadership which allows us to have confidence in his off-lead ability too, even though we haven’t actually done any training.
He’s such a lovely, sweet & well behaved boy. We absolutely love having you in our care & we will definitely be helping to overcome some anxiety in your home following the incident 💙
Snow, rain or shine…
Doggy Traynors will be out without a doubt 🤩
Lottie, Milo, Ronnie & Ralph all having some fun in the snow 💙
Sometimes it’s nice just to let dogs be dogs… safely 💙
Scooby, Mila & Sully all blowing the cobwebs away
🐕💨
This is amazing! 🤩
After just 5 sessions Dean & Bonny have completely changed their walks, relationship & lives for the better!
You wouldn’t believe how Bonny pulled like an absolute train before! 💪🏻 (we really need to start taking some before videos 🤣)
Dean has been using all the techniques we have shown him and practicing consistently in between our sessions throughout the week. We think the results speak for themselves! 👌🏻
A massive well done to the both of you. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you both 💙
Well the verdict is in once again 😂 …
We’ve used a different approach this time. We have commented & allocated a number to each individual that commented 2 friends on the prize give-away post.
Using a new number accumulator we have randomly selected the new winner 🥳 Thanks to everyone who took part, please look out for more of these in the future! 🤞🏻
A HUGE congratulations to our new prize winner! Number 27 - Yasmin Withington 🤩🥳🥳🥳
Please send us a message to arrange your free training session 💙
We don’t give this big lad enough airtime!! 💙💙💙
It seems so long ago since we began working with Rocco. So much has changed with our training, we’ve learned so much, yet this big man seems to adjust to it all and continue to progress even to this day!
We’ve recently been working on Rocco’s thresholds around other dogs & he’s been amazing.
We love working with you Rocco, we look forward to seeing you every week 🤩
🥳 Well... we have a prize winner!!!!!! 🥳
First of all thanks to everyone who entered in the competition, it was truly overwhelming the amount of support we received.
All names, of everyone who entered correctly, was added into a random selection app to be selected as fair as possible. (Apologies about the cut off names we could only enter so many characters)
A HUGE congratulations to Amanda Whatmore for winning the prize!
Please contact us about arranging your free training session of your choice 🤩🥳🥳
Look out for more of these in the future!
Again thanks to all who got involved 💙
Last week was another busy week for Doggy Traynors 🤩
Here’s a little video of some Lead work we’ve been doing to help Zara relax on her walks and suppress reactivity.
This little sweetie has stole our hearts 💙
💙 This is not just two dogs playing…💙
What you’re seeing here is Willow (a nearly 12 month old German Shepherd) meeting & playing with a dog for the first time in her life 😍
We’ve been working with Willow & her owners due to her reactivity around other dogs, cars & sometimes people. Willows vaccinations got complicated meaning she was a lot older than most dogs when allowed on her first walk (causing her to miss out on vital socialisation early on). This led to her being highly reactive due to an extreme lack of confidence and social understanding.
What you can see in this video is HUGE step forward for Willow & her owners and we could not be happier 🤩
Huge well done to you all 💙
