🌟DOG OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH🌟

❤ PELE ❤

PELE and his two brothers - Peter and Paul - arrived with us on the 27th January 2025.

All boys, just 18 months old, are lovely, very friendly and full of enthusiasm. They all enjoy their walks and don't react to other breeds of dog they meet when out and about.

Already PELE and his brothers have charmed our volunteer walkers and PELE has been described by one of them as 'such a love'.

As PELE and his brothers are all still young dogs they are full of energy and prospective adopters need to bear this in mind. Full details on our homing requirements, along with an application form can be found on this link:

When you could get FREE delivery on Tue - but you've told the customer you'll have it Sunday.
So what would you do ????
we OBVIOUSLY collected on our only day off.

So the customers not wasting there time and being disappointed. Cause that's the Feedumraw way xx

After yrs of these companies saying raw's terrible they now want to get in on the act. Sadly I hope this doesn't lead to them taking over raw and ramping the prices up. They already buy up all the vets :-(

We had a lovely meeting with Claire from Durham Animal Feeds today . Lovely lady - some NEW products coming - asked for some stuff we would like as a shop to benefit our customers in learning raw as they go.

As the weather begins to get nicer and you take your kiddos to a local pond or lake to feed the ducks and geese, please keep this bit of info in mind.🙏🙏🙏
Another FYI
Feeding bread causes permanent damage to ducks and geese. They develop angel wing. They can not migrate or fly to avoid predators. PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe……are a few good options!

‼️ RSPCA Appeal ‼️ | Platt Bridge, Wigan WN2: emaciated puppy with severe re**al prolapse dumped behind shops

The young lurcher, who was suffering from a severe re**al prolapse, was handed over inside a washing basket at the RSPCA Wigan, Leigh & District Branch’s vet clinic in York Street, Wallgate, Wigan, on the morning of Thursday, February 6.

The merle-coloured female dog, aged around six months old, was emaciated with her hip and rib bones clearly visible.

Sadly, she was in such poor health by the time she arrived at the clinic that a vet decided the kindest course of action was to put her to sleep to end her suffering.

RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer Gail Platt is appealing for anyone who has any information about the dog, who was brought to the clinic by a man who said he’d found her abandoned behind the Co-op store on Warrington Road in Platt Bridge.

She said: “This dog was in such a terrible condition by the time she was taken to our clinic. She was emaciated and was suffering with a huge intestinal prolapse which was turning black.

“The man who brought her in said he had found her straying behind a Co-op store some half an hour before he came to the clinic on February 6.

“We are keen to trace the owner of this dog and talk to anyone who knows something about her to see if they can offer us further information which may help our investigation.”

During January the RSPCA dealt with 1,972 incidents of animals reported abandoned compared to 1,471 incidents in the first month of 2024 - a rise of more than 34 per cent.
