Today is my last day looking after little miss Rosie.

Small animal visits are fully tailored to your pets needs, including feeding, cleaning, cuddles and more, along with regular updates while you're away.

My diary is now open for 2025, if your holiday is booked, your pet's care should be too 🐰🐭🐹🐇🐔🐦

Yesterday we had the pleasure of being invited to the new My Dog Meadow enclosed woodland walk with Standish Dog Trainer. Jo Pay Dog Trainer
It's a wonderful, safe and peaceful place to exercise your dog, something different than the usual enclosed field.

❕A reminder there are no walks today while I recover from climbing Helvellyn yesterday❕
I am however back to work tomorrow, a day earlier than planned, so if anyone would like to add on, just let me know 💞
Although judging by the state of my legs today, we may be slow moving for the next few days 🙈

Another new face for you to meet. Elsie can be very frightened of the world, to help her I work with .pay at Standish Dog Trainer. Jo creates the training plan for her behavioural work, then I support Elsie's humans with the training that needs to be done. It takes a village and Elsie definitely has one!

I often get asked about what equipment you should use with your dog, so I thought I'd do a series on my recommendations.

First up, harnesses. This is not a debate on why I use one, simply things to think about if you CHOOSE to use one.

Things to think about when choosing what harness your dog should wear. Shape Take note of what shape the chest piece of the harness is. Is it “y” shaped or is it a straight chest piece? Harnesses w…

"A day without a nap is like a cupcake without frosting"

How much sleep does your pup actually get?

We think so much about exercise and training when we get a dog but often we don't consider how much sleep they get.
A lot of the 'normal' puppy issues we see are usually down to over stimulation and lack of proper sleep.
A regular napping schedule alongside training, exercise and enrichment is the key to a happy and content puppy.

When used in a positive way, a crate or pen should be a safe space for your puppy to learn when you would like them to sleep.

It's time for a reintroduction...

Hello, I'm Amy and this is my Skeeter.

I've been dog training and walking for more than 10 years, with nearly 15 years experience of small animal care.

Here at Positively Peaches, I focus on training walks. I believe a dog walker should be there to help support your training needs, helping do the work while you're out at work. I want to help teach your dog life skills so that you can get the very best from your dog. I also value the importance of puppy socialisation and am here to help make sure every box is ticked.

I believe in supporting pet owners in all aspects of the care of their animals. I also provide in-home small animal care while you're on holiday. This includes rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, chickens and more.

All of my services can be individually tailored to your needs, with regular updates all part of the service.

I want to give you peace of mind that whatever animal you entrust in my care, their welfare is my priority.

💫 New Blog 💫

A very emotional subject for me to talk about, it's taken a few weeks for me to be able to post this one, I needed to be ready to talk about it.

Have a read and see why dog ownership isn't as simple as just loving your dog

A thought from ‘not your average’ dog owner Let me start off by saying I love my dog with every ounce of my being. For nearly 12 years, every single day has been planned for him. He’s t…

Breaking our accidental social media silence to say thank you.
Skeeter had routine surgery planned this week but became very unwell beforehand meaning services haven't been as reliable as I'd like.
So a huge thank you to the regulars who have helped cover to allow Skeeter the time he needed to rest and recuperate. It's been a tricky week and your kindness and understanding really has made it easier. I don't like not being consistent and reliable for our gang, but caring for Skeeter has to come first.
Now I promise to make more appearances on here, we've just been so busy training dogs, no time for the socials!
