Join us for our Beginners Leather Carving Day!

During the course you’ll learn all the basic leather carving techniques including stencilling, carving,and bevelling, as well as a general staining principles.

There’s a range of different projects and templates to choose from that will suit everyone, including bookmarks, key rings, coasters, hair pins, plaques, and much more!

Suitable for ages 13+ (under 16’s require adult supervision).

All materials and use of tools are included in the fee of £90pp.

Saturday 2nd August 10am-3pm
Saturday 13th September 10am-3pm

I had a wonderful time earlier this week at williamhulmesgrammar talking to the students about Saddlery and Harness making as a career, as well as explaining to them about qestcraft scholarship programs and different opportunities.

During the event I made some small dragons and a few wing key rings to demonstrate to the students some leather carving, showing them how to use the swivel knife and the purpose of each stamp.

It was lovely to see so many people, students and teachers alike, taking an interest in leather craft.

I had a brilliant time at The Society of Master Saddlers National Saddlery Competition 2025.

I received my Millennium Apprenticeship Certificate, as well as first place in the Master and Apprentice class.
