Hi Everyone, Great news! Obedience Training will be back on tonight, the field has been assessed and is ok to train, it’s a little muddy in places but we can work around that. ( maybe don’t wear your best shoes tonight though! ) Agility training today has also had the go-ahead. 🐾

Hi Guys, unfortunately we are having to cancel both beginner’s agility classes (Saturday 11th Jan) and competition agility training ( both Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th Jan) as the field is still in a poor condition. The ground is currently frozen and the car park is extremely slippy. We can’t risk either yourselves or your dogs getting injured. We hope you understand. Please keep a check on these notices regarding future classes/training as any cancellations will be posted here, giving you as much notice as possible. Thank you. 🐾

IMPORTANT MESSAGE- Hi everyone, firstly Happy New Year to you all! 🥳
However, the bad news is that due to this weekend’s weather conditions and the field being waterlogged we have cancelled tomorrow’s Beginners Agility classes and also competition agility both tomorrow and Sunday.

Winners that weren’t there to receive their awards on the day will be presented with them at your next class! I know our instructors found it very difficult to choose the winners, so very well done to you all. Keep up the good work in 2025! 😃👏🐶🐾

Our annual Presentation went superbly well! I am sure I speak for us all when I say a great afternoon was had by all.
Firstly a huge thank you to our committee members for the wonderful buffet! They bought, cooked, & baked some amazing dishes and desserts all at their own expense to say thank to everyone for supporting our club all year long.
Secondly congratulations to all the winners, ( those pics will follow!) But as they saying it’s the taking part that matters most, so well done to everyone and their amazing pooches that have done so well this year.
Thirdly thank you all so much for coming along and making it one of the best presentation events we have had.
Thank you all so much for buying so many of our raffle tickets. You raised a grand total of £129 which will be split between the canine charities that we support. 😁🐾🐶 x

IMPORTANT NOTICE :-
Christmas Break -

Listed below are the dates of when the club will be closed over the Christmas period and the dates of when the club reopens in the new year.

Saturday 14th December- Closed ( for the annual presentation day. )

Sunday 15th December - Open for Agility training.

Wednesday 18th December - Open for Agility training, and the last night of Obedience classes.

OPEN AGAIN ON :-

Saturday 4th January - Agility

Wednesday 8th January - Obedience

OBEDIENCE CLASSES,
The 18th of December is the last training night before Christmas but the last night of the actual 8 week course is the 15th January.
If you wish to ensure a place on the next course, ( which starts on the 22nd January 2025 ) please register and pay BEFORE the 15th January 2025.

Hi, a quick message, if you are coming to Obedience or Puppy Class this evening. We have had reports of traffic problems on Ormskirk Road, to and from Orrell and also on Billinge Road. Please allow extra time for your journey. Thanks.

TO ALL CLASS & CLUB MEMBERS :-

RE : Kennel Cough

At the moment there seems to be a lot of cases of Kennel Cough in the area.
This is just a reminder of the importance of keeping your distance if your dog has, or even if you think they MAY have kennel cough.

This is a highly contagious disease & whilst for many fit & healthy dogs it only means a few weeks of an irritable cough or sickness, we must not forget that for some older & less robust dogs at home it could be much more serious.

Therefore please do not attend classes or training if you think your dog has, or may have kennel cough.

Details of signs/symptoms can be found online, or contact your vet.
