Why not head out and try the Pennine Bridleway – National Trail (East Midlands, Yorkshire and Cumbria) 😊

Spanning a total of 330km, starting in Derbyshire and ending in Cumbria, this national trail is shared by equestrians, cyclists and walkers. Although it is a linear route, it also includes two large loop sections: The Mary Towneley Loop (75km) and The Settle Loop (16km). 🐴

Some excitement on the way to work this morning...
regular travellers on the B5305 will know that wagons often struggle to get up the hill at Dr's Brow heading towards Wigton. Usually it's a fend for yourself but today the wagon was being assisted by the boys in blue.

All the best to the Cycling for Saffron riders as they make the final push of their journey. The riders have cycled over 200 miles along The Pennine Bridleway, putting in a brutal 8-10 hours in the saddle each day over "moors, tracks, fields and up and down never-ending hills" to raise money to support the rehabilitation of injured event rider Saffron Cresswell.
