From the 10th of June it is a legal requirement to ensure that your cat is microchipped, and the chip details registered.

A microchip greatly increases the chance that your pet will be reunited with you if lost.

Jeremy and Smokey are two beautiful Persians who are on the lookout for a new home. They are brothers and would like to go together.

✨ Vacancy - Farm Vet ✨

Belle Vue Vets is a progressive, independent, and truly mixed practice based in the market town of Wigton in North Cumbria, with the beautiful fells and lakes of the Lake District National Park on our doorstep.

We are seeking an enthusiastic farm animal vet (or farm biased mixed vet) to join our friendly and supportive 14-vet team, which includes multiple diploma and certificate holders.

Our whole team is committed to providing a comprehensive range of proactive and cost-effective veterinary services to our wonderful farm clients, utilising all the expected technology of a modern farm practice.

The successful applicant should be passionate about all aspects of farm animal medicine and surgery, be a great communicator and fit well into our supportive and fun-loving work environment. Whilst most of our daily work involves dairy cattle, we have significant numbers of beef and sheep farms, and there will be ample opportunity to explore specific areas of interest, with a generous CPD allowance and further qualifications strongly encouraged.

At Belle Vue Vets we all value a good work life balance. As such we offer 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, as well as time off prior to a weekend on call and after a weeknight on call. The current on call rota is 3 in 14 weekends.

Applicants of all levels of experience are welcome to apply, and appropriate support, including vet GDP mentoring can be provided. Remuneration will be dependent on experience starting at 38k for a new graduate plus a company vehicle supplied and RCVS fees paid.

Kitten season is still ongoing!

We have kittens of varying ages, ranging from 3-6 months, here at the centre and expect more to arrive over the coming weeks. We especially seem to have quite a number of black kittens, they always seem to be the ones that are overlooked.

This cat is now back at home ❤️❤️

❗️Urgent FOSTER home❗️
This is Barbie. She is an elderly black and white female cat who is blind and deaf. She like tummy rubs once she knows you are there! She is quite frail but her blood tests were good for her age. She was showing signs of a urine infection so is on antibiotics for that. She is in need of a loving quiet home to live out her remaining days.

Barbie is at Frames Swift and Partners at the moment so if you are able to help her please contact them or ourselves. 🙏
