Working together with Amila’s Mission we helped this stray girl have an emergency leg amputation. The kind factory agreed she could stay in their factory yard safe from the road . What a happy , lucky dog she is now 🥰.

Who remembers lucifer ? Poor dog with Filaria (elephantiasis) and a badly broken front leg ??? The vet attempted to save Lucifers leg but sadly it wasn’t to be and Lucifer needed a leg amputation. The journey started with posting an event to climb Ben Nevis as a group walk to raise funds for Saving Sri Lanka Strays . 6 people attended the event . Led by Garry Fraser , helped with organisation Marilyn Knight , attended by Founder Rachel Schofield, Bev Palmer , Sue Trott and Maria Foulkes . The first quarter of the climb was good weather , then the rain came , then the wind came . At the top of the Summit the temperature dropped drastically. Yet we all made the hike and despite being extremely wet and extremely cold we ALL had an amazing time. Thanks to these amazing people and the wonderful animal lovers who sponsored us we raised a whopping £1140 🐾💜🐾🐕🐈The original plan for the money raised was for an Out Reach Clinic spaying , neutering and vaccinating strays against rabies . Since then we have been offered the free use of 100 acres of land to help animals in Sri Lanka. Therefore the funds raised will go towards a far bigger challenge- Help Build A Shelter in Sri Lanka and then hike one of Sri Lanka’s famous mountains . Watch out for this up coming event !!!

This is cheese and kuchchi ❤both have recently been suffering from an infection that’s affecting their stomach and causing bowel problems. Both cats have had blood and urine tests . Both needed antibiotics and beginning to recover 😻. https://savingsrilankastrays.org/donate/

Rani story ! Injured on the streets of Sri Lanka. Rani back leg was badly damaged and lost most of the skin . Working together with Amila’s mission we were able to fund all of Rani treatment. Sadly the leg was inoperable but she isn’t in any pain. It means she will walk with a limp but at least the leg didn’t need to be amputated. Rani is now in life long foster, fully vaccinated and her skin is nearly fully healed !!! 🥰! Rani is just a young Srilankan pup 😓.

A mama dog and her pups were dumped at Ambathele Temple . The dogs have been granted refuge if we could support them with vaccinations, spay / neuter.
