So a great and very educational Regionals at Arena Uk this weekend. Starting with Mr Enzo who did his usual in putting his best foot forward for 66% to finished 10th in Elementary Gold. He has only just stepped up to this level in the arena so the plan was just to go for a nice quiet clear round as they say focusing on balance over energy, and for him to have a nice time in the ring with not to much pressure and he did a lovely job just one little error where I was a bit to quiet in the riding and he dropped off into trot very briefly, but we are all really please with him and the test. He then did the Novice Gold on the second day and we allowed the hand break off and he did a lovely 68.28% for 7th place. His plans for this year will be aiming at the 6 year old classes.

Next up was Bally who was taking part in her first Regional. She was in the Novice Gold and had a real mixture of v good marks and v spooky marks 😂 and thinking that the camera man at the A end of the arena was very scary so it made for some interesting movments but In between her doing her giraffe moments, some added lateral moments plus an added rein back she did ok and some really lovely comments from the judge. In her second test Prelim Gold was a huge improvement in confidence from her first test and did a lovely test only for the rider to miss a 20m circle and then get herself and the judge confused which ended up with an elimination for errors of course but the judges kindly let us finish the test once the confusion was finally sorted and she came away with a lovely score. What was prob more valuable was to be able to have more time in the arena starting and stopping which gave her invaluable arena time for the future.

Another superstar today at the British Dressage Areas. This time is was little William who is owned by Carole Kanus. William was def the smallest pony about but he pretend to be 16hh and pointed his little toes to do a 66.83% and 13th place out of 31 competitors in the Silver Novice Section. He was a little spooky to start with but he gained in confidence as the test went on. He was also beautifully ridden by Michelle Wakefield. We are just over the moon for Rosie and the Lovely MM Midnight Caviar who are now off to the Nationals 💪🦄. They finished an amazing 2nd place out of 35 competitors in the Prelim Silver section at Addington Equestrian today. We had a great training week together last week and all the hard work has paid off. We couldn’t be happier for her lovely owner Rosie Coulson and as a stud it make us very proud of our homebreds.

20 years difference in age….George (grey) is now 24 years young escorting 4 year old stallion Stormzy out on his first ever hack, and Stormzy def loved being a hacking horse and was so good, as was gorgous George 🥰🦄.

So we took these two divas out earlier this week to Arena UK for a bit of a winter blow out to get rid of some rider and horse cobwebs. Both were very happy to be back out so turbos were def in play 🤣 but both did nice test just a few little blips but they were to be expected for being a bit exubarent. Enzo won his Elementary and Bally was 3rd in her novice both with good scores. Nice to be out if not a bit cold ❄️🥶

We would love to wish all our friends a Happy New Year and let’s hope it’s a good one for all of us. 2024 has been a good year with the horses all now getting that little bit older we are able to enjoy having fun with them at the shows a bit more now and it’s lovely watching them all grow and shine ⭐️🦄. It’s also lovely watching the horses and ponies that we have bred and sold all doing well for their owners having lovely life’s with lovely people and making memories 🥰.

⭐️Jan 19th Open to any one wanting to start or learn more about the in hand training
⭐️Jan25 -26th Test Riding day ….good opportunity to run through your upcoming Regionals, or just have a test in mind you need help with.
⭐️Feb 15-16th Normal Training clinic
⭐️😃⭐️March 15 lecture demonstration part 2
Inhand work to the ridden piaffe understanding what is entailed and how to make this transition.
£35 per person approx time 2.5hours, start time 12.15pm

⭐️⭐️⭐️ WANTED SJ UNICORN 🦄⭐️⭐️⭐️
We are on the search for a lovely client of ours. *We are looking for a 13.3-14.1hh push button pony that can take a small child safely around SJ classes up to 1m.
*We don’t need a world be**er but MUST be very safe and not stop, and be a confidence giving pony.
*Pony must be more woah than go as child doesn’t like anything to forward and fast.
*Aged between 7 and 13 years ideally.
*Pony must also want to be loved and fussed. *Don’t mind which s*x and we would love to find something someone has owned for a long time that has been out grown.
*Good budget and the best home.
*Must also pass vet checks and X-rays.

🎉 Exciting News from Maxted Massey Stud! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that our 3-year-old stallion MM Total Storm (Stormzy) has received his licensing gradings from AES with an impressive overall score of 8.2! 🌟

What makes this even more special are the judges' thoughtful comments. Despite being young, weak, and still maturing (a major concern for us when deciding to present him), they recognized his exceptional potential. Hats off to the AES judges for looking beyond heavy prepping and seeing a truly promising stallion for the future. 🙌

Stormzy's Scores:
🐎 Canter: 8.25
🐎 Trot: 8.75
🐎 Walk: 8
🐎 Conformation & Frame: 8
👉 Overall: 8.2

On top of that, Stormzy wowed everyone during the Paul Fielder lecture demonstration on Saturday, earning even more admiration with his calm demeanor and natural charm. He didn’t put a foot wrong and stole a few hearts along the way. ❤️

7 year old MM Lady Marmalade is back in work after deciding she didn’t want to be a mum again this year after scanning in foal to Kjento last year and kidding us all that she was still in foal 🙈. She has given us one super pony foal last year in MM Champagne so back to work we go instead 😃. Marmalade is also older sister to MM Balmoral. Thank you Anne Hoier for the lovely photos.

On Sat we had so much fun with the Paul Fielder Demo and we have had some fantastic feed back. All the horses behaved brilliantly and thank you to the guest riders. Also big thanks to our amazing stud team in getting all the horses looking amazing. 💕
