Thursday
Today I felt a bit like the world was out to get me, between the broken window wiper (Β£340 repair job tomorrow thank you very muchπ) and thinking I'd left keys at home so going back to fetch only to find them in the van (that's on me but that makes it all the worse)...This grown up lark sucks! Started the day by waking to see that rain was due in twenty so rushed to leave early so I could drive and be able to see through the windscreen. Five minutes later cars were queued all the way up the hill as a tractor was stuck. Went the long way round dreading been caught in the rain, an hour later finally got to Wilmslow only to check the GPS of my keys and see them at home! Picked up all dogs accessable by knocking and drove them up to the Moors for a walk while picking up the keys- which I found in the end in the van! Bloody GPS lied it's pants off. They are now back in their safe place. Battery of Apple tag to be replaced obviously. I only stamped by foot for a few seconds -just before the rain fell.
All in all the weather was quite cooperative. Only drove twice through drizzle and the stops were close enough that a little manual wiping was fine. I'll drop it off at the garage tomorrow.
So, 9:00 after a rather longer comute then necessary were up at Pym chair, just above goyt valley. We were rained on pretty hard but as I wasn't driving I was happy to have it in the hopes the clouds would be drained for the drive back.
11:00 a lovely walk around the fields, a little late but not by much, and all eager to play and run. Lottie put Simba in his place and he popped over for some reassurance, pearl lined up to do the same but I told both 7kg girls to leave the poor 20kg lab alone.
1:00 final walk just Oscar, Connie and ivy. I'd usually grab Laila as well but wasnt risking any extra driving at the skies had darkened. Never paid so much attention to the weather in my life! They galloped about in the woods behind the garden centre. Connie tried to entice Oscar into mauling her but he is too nice a boy for such kinks.
I'm now going to bed and reading till I feel less stressed about life. Wish me a dry ride to the garage!
