Offering Pack Therapy sessions for daytime care for your dog. In addition to our overnight boarding sessions, we can
now offer a complete day care solution, allowing you to work, go shopping or visit friends without worrying about your canine companion. We can look after your dog on a daily basis, either as a one off, occasional or more repetitive basis. All dogs will remain in our home and gain f

rom our years of experience in training and behaviour. Allowing dogs to socialise with other dogs under close supervision or in a private area for those that would rather be alone. Access for plenty of walks in our own 9 acre grounds will soon have them sleeping comfy in their beds. During the week we are available from 7.30am until 7pm and at the weekends from 9.00am.

Yesterday we welcomed the lovely Bingo to our Pack Therapy. She did so well meeting new dogs and playing with staff in the winter area, we had a constant waggy tail. 💕🐾

Annual boosters to vaccinations for your dogs is a normal process accepted by dog owners. When the time comes, we receive reminders from our chosen vet, to make an appointment and present our pets for an annual assessment of health and to accomplish the boosters for our vaccinations. We place our faith in the veterinary provider and assume that everything they do will be in our and our pets interest. To the most part, this may be true. But when it comes to routine vaccinations that may not be the case.
We are seeing now a greater potential for over vaccination of our dogs on a regular basis. Administering boosters that are not required but will be charged for.
Lepto vaccinations are indeed annually administered, that is every year there is a requirement for a booster. The same can be said for CIRD (kennel cough) if desired, although it is not compulsory and is your choice. But the DHP Element of the routine vaccination is a tri-annual requirement. So every third year, that would probably need to be boosted. Not every year as is currently evident.
Annual booster of DHP should not be detrimental to the health of your dogs, but will be detrimental to your pocket. Whether you are on a pet care plan or paying per visit the big corporates that now own most of our veterinary chains are ripping you off and the vets seem to be complicit in the process.
Many of our clients are successfully receiving refunds for boosters that are incorrectly administered.
Apologies for the rant, but this has been going on too long, the more people made aware, the quicker we stop this money grabbing process.

The courses are pre booked and £125.00 for the 10 weeks.
You can then choose to go on to our intermediate group which is lots of learning but lots of fun too!

This weekend would have marked 10 years of Baby being part of our Daycare & Boarding family, so there was no way that I could let it just pass by.
Baby had such an awful time before she was fostered & then went on to her forever home & to be part of the journey to make her into the happy, wonderful dog that she was, really was such an honour.
As much as I was part of Baby’s journey, she was a massive part of mine, she was one of my first regular Daycare dogs & came Monday to Friday for years, I absolutely loved seeing her gorgeous face first thing in the morning each day & she taught me so much. She was part of my life while building up the business, Lee worked away for a quite a long time while I worked on the business here as we were absolutely skint lol, so she would be with me & our dog each day while we grew together & things grew around us. I was just so determined to make sure she knew how loved she was here & learnt her likes & dislikes & kept her routines the way she liked them.
We made it to 9 years of Christmas photos Baby Girl! It would have been amazing to get to 10! Her owners sent me the collection of photos below & they sent the incredible gifts. I loved the way they recognised how much I adored her & was so touched by the gifts (lots of tears here) . It was said by her owners that they actually thought she preferred it more here than at home lol, this of course wasn’t the case, but I do know she loved us as her second family & I’m so grateful for the special relationship that we had.
Thank you Baby girl for all that you went through with me & for all that you taught me. I know you’re now on your next important journey but that won’t stop the missing you!

☺️None dog related post but our daughter Annie has to carry out one weeks work experience & originally wanted to do it at a vets, however she has contacted them all and they are either not taking them on or just haven’t got back to her, she has also contacted some rescue centres but no luck there either. We are now just looking in general at some work experience elsewhere and wondered if anyone knew of anywhere that would be able to take her on? The dates are 31st March until 4th April. She will be 15 then and is very hard working. Thank you x ☺️
