Mia recently passed her AIM level 3 Diploma with us this month! She has previously groomed before but it was time to get her well deserved certificate!

She is such a hard worker and an excellent groomer we are very sad to see her go! 🐶

Beautiful Percy the standard poodle.
When doing a course with us you will groom 3 days a day with a one on one teacher. You will groom all different breeds and learn a whole range of skills to prepare you to be a full time, fully qualified groomer! Most of our students start their own businesses straight away, receiving updates of how successful they are makes us so unbelievably happy and proud 😊

What a wonderful day! We genuinely love exam days, the build up from being a complete beginner to a fully qualified groomer is quite frankly amazing. In 26 days these girls have worked so hard, put in the hours, there have been a few tears (which is totally normal!) but look what they have achieved. Life long skills they can take onwards with them in their careers in the grooming world.
We are so proud of you all! Enjoy a glass of something nice tonight to celebrate 🎉 we will miss you so much 🥲🥹

Melanie is the latest student to pass her level 3 AIM certificate in dog grooming with us ! We couldn’t be prouder of her, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Melanie as she starts her career as a dog groomer 🐶

We wanted to take a second to congratulate .kinsellaforster and on passing their level 3 AIM (Ocn) certificate in dog grooming this April. We are so proud of them. The day went so quick and they smashed it….. so much so we forgot to get a picture with their “actual grooming dogs”! We have improvised with a cute cushion!

What’s been going on at the Academy recently 😊

We have had 3 amazing students start and they are so close to there exam which is very exciting but also sad to have to see them go! 🥹

Not only is the course hard work but so much fun to with lots of puppy cuddles and massive husky blow outs 😆

“Well what can I say! I did my training at rascals academy last September and from the moment I got there the girls were so welcoming. I received my welcome pack and everything we were going to be doing for the level 3 dog grooming was explained to me. Amy Firth who did most of my training amazed me with all her wealth of knowledge of the trade, if I was nervous to try something she was very supportive every step of the way. Katie who owns the salon was working from home at the time, but was always on the phone if I needed any help or support. Even though I was only a student there they made me feel like part of the team. All the equipment used was top of the line and the salon is very clean. The variety of dogs I was able to work on was incredible, I learnt so much and even though I’ve finished my training, the girls are always happy to answer any queries I have about grooming. I would 100% recommend rascals dog training academy to anyone wanting to get into the grooming trade”

A lovely review from

After 18 years working as a Manager in Brain Injury I decided it was time for a change in career.

I signed up for a course at Rascals of Woburn Grooming Academy and was instantly made welcome onto the course, and it wasn't long before I felt part of a working team. They were so supportive to each other and their students alike, it was a training course where you are not singled out, I never wanted the course to end.

I have been on many training courses in my life and none would have been a close second to this course, I absolutely loved every minute.

I have also worked with many different teams during my career but never witnessed a team that love their work as much as the ladies do at Rascals.

When it comes to teaching they find your way of learning and teach you so you can gain the knowledge and skills needed to become a professional Dog Groomer.

I gained so much from this course, it is intense, there is so much to learn witb both practicals and theory but they make it fun so you retain the knowledge.
The professionalism shown to me, the patience, understanding and support which was given during the course and since gave me the confidence that I could launch into my own dog grooming business, which is exactly what I'm doing now.

The Rascals Team genuinely care not only for each other and any dog that enters their salon and for their students both during and after their training courses.

I would higly recommend Rascals Grooming Academy to anyone interested in becoming a qualified professional Dog Groomer, they truly are amazing Dog Groomers and Training Academy.

Rascals of Woburn groomers are recruiting!

We are currently looking to expand our team.
We are looking for a trainee groomer & a Level 3 Dog grooming stylist either full or part time.

These roles include the following:

Grooming a large variety of breeds of dogs to a high standard.
Demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Pride themselves on Salon presentation, cleanliness should be kept to a high standard. This involves keeping up with house keeping and maintenance of salon equipment on a daily basis

We are looking for two members of staff to hold the following skills set:

They must be Passionate about all animals and their safety and welfare.
They must have experience working with animals in a professional setting.
Demonstrate confidence in working on their own and with customers.
They must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
