I was so sorry to hear that Batanero is no longer with us. He was a really lovely horse with enormous presence and horses like that cannot be replaced. Here he is winning his class at Hartpury.

My most recent painting is called 'Cosmica in Winter' - just for once I took the time to paint my own horse!! So far this winter we have not had such cold weather but she really enjoys crisp days... A Happy New year to everyone and all your horses too.

Congratulations to Becky and Ufano who went one better at HIckstead on Friday and won their first International class! It is the Freestyle class on Sunday - Good Luck to them both!

Becky Edwards and Ufano competing at Hickstead yesterday. They are representing GB in the young riders team and finished second in the Prix St. Georges scoring over 67%. They were only narrowly beaten and I am sure they will go on to even greater things! Ufano has been one of my favourite Lusitanos for quite a while and it marvellous to see him fulfilling his potential.

I hope you will all enjoy this folio of images from the Iberian Horse classes at The Royal Windsor Show this year, later than planned but I hope you will still enjoy looking back and reflecting on a lovely show in glorious sunshine for once.

Without too much confidence, I think the name of the horse featured in this photo is Maryss Paladin but once again, I am open to correction! He was the winner of the Parade Class at the Iberian Horse Festival yesterday. Apart from being a lovely horse in all respects, he has the most fabulous tail.....
