🌟Pet superstar of the month🌟

Tommy came into Mulberry House very lethargic and dehydrated as he hadn't eaten in 2 days. He had also been showing signs of discomfort whilst using his litter tray. After being examined by one of our vets it turned out Tommy had a blocked bladder. This is where an obstruction occurs within the urethra and urine is unable to pass. As a result, the bladder fills up with urine and causes severe complications.
Luckily, due to Tommy's owners acting fast and getting him to Mulberry House Vets quickly, the team were able to insert a catheter into the urethra and remove the blockage. Tommy had round the clock care for a few days to make sure the urine continued to pass smoothly before returning home to his owners.
After a long course of antibiotics and regular check-ups with our vet team Tommy's condition has improved dramatically and he is much happier.

He's been super brave and the team felt he deserved this month's Mulberry superstar award 🐾😻

Lovely Fifi and Gizmo were in to see our nurse team today to have their microchips implanted. Did you know that from today, the law on cat microchipping changes so that all cats and kittens must be chipped before the age of 20 weeks!
The cost of a microchip is £29.10 (there is no cost if you are a member of our Mulberry Club) 😻🐾

In the lead up to us opening the Binfield practice (the old GP’s surgery) we have been busy recruiting!

Please welcome some new faces, Gemma Cockram our new Vet. Emily Ponter who is a Veterinary Nurse, Stephanie Lystor-Scott & Olivia Bellew who are our new Animal Nursing Assistants, finally but by no means least Tracey Driver joins as a Receptionist.

They have all settled in really well and look forward to meeting you and your pets!💕

Happy ending story 💕
This lovely girl was brought into us this morning as she’d got herself a little lost!
Thankfully she was chipped and her owners contact details were up to date so she was quickly reunited with her family!

Daphne the 11 week old Daschund puppy was busy enjoying the sunshine in our garden yesterday 💕

Gorgeous Smudge has been a frequent visitor at Mulberry House Vets recently and unfortunately had to have a leg amputated. She has been resting at home and was signed off yesterday so she was able to venture into the garden! Here she is sunbathing and enjoying her freedom! 💕☀️

⭐️ ⭐️ Pet Superstar of the month ⭐️ ⭐️

Baxter is a gentle Hungarian Vizsla of almost 15 years of age. He belongs to one of our vets, Laura. Last month, he suddenly became very unwell at home and was found collapsed. He was brought straight to Mulberry House Vets where he was treated by our experienced team. He had blood tests, xrays and an ultrasound scan of his heart and abdomen. The results of these tests showed that Baxter had an acute and severe form of pancreatitis. This is a condition in which the pancreas becomes very inflamed. It is a very painful condition that can be life threatening. Baxter received treatment in the form of IV fluids, strong pain relief, and medication to treat the associated vomiting and diarrhoea that he had. Baxter was hospitalised for nearly a week, but with intensive hospital and nutritional care from the nurses and lots of hugs from the whole team he started to show signs of improvement and was able to go home. With a low fat diet, Baxter is now back to normal living his best life, enjoying walks, meeting other dogs, and playing with Laura's 5 year old son 💕
