In the past few months we have lost a number of our precious pet sit family. I aim to look after your pets in the same way you do when you are away and inevitably become attached to them. I’ve been doing this for a decade now so I know some of your fur babies very well indeed. I also know how big a hole they leave when they leave us. It has been 18 months since we lost our Charlie dog and I miss him every day. In honour of our friends who have crossed over the rainbow bridge I want to share some resources for those grieving their pets. They do life with us in a way that some people will never understand. They are always with us for the highs and lows and they often see the tears we hide from everyone else. I am always here to support anyone going through this. Today I’m raising a glass to all who have left us too soon. For Charlie, for Buffy, for Jack, for Chloe and for Max. Never forgotten
It won’t be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.
Time for us to part now, we won’t say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.
Just wish me to be near you,
And I’ll be there with you.
