Thanks everyone who has donated to my justgiving page. I thought you might be interested in an update on training progress!
So the training schedule has been increasing steadily in intensity thanks to my trainer Vicky. Each week I’ve been increasing the time running/fast walking with backpack as well of course as the distance covered.
Yesterday was my longest session yet, 5 hours / 46 km. Training continues this week until we leave for Kenya on Friday, acclimatise for the race and then get to race camp on the 13th ready for the start on the 14th!
A lot of time and energy also preparing food and equipment which I have to carry during the race - so trying to keep it as light as possible.
So, thanks again for all the donations and it’s not too late to donate if you would like to do so - it’s a great cause and all donations go to the charity and really do make a difference 🙂.
