WE’RE BACK!

Anyone who worked with me last year or knows us will know that in January we welcomed our youngest son into the world and I stepped away from training to be present at home.

I am now so pleased to be getting back to work and available to take on new dogs!

I know I have had some messages since being away but Facebook/Instagram have decided that I can’t access them so if anyone has enquired please do send through the message again and we can get back to you.

I will be back to posting content and updates daily and I honestly cannot wait to get started again. It would be great to hear any updates on how last years clients are getting on too- remember training is ongoing forever, it doesn’t start and end at sessions with me!!

As noted in one of my later posts before my break, any left over sessions from last year will no longer be valid- if you still require support, please send me a message and we can come up with an action plan.

OATIE🐶 Session 2 today with this little guy and we moved on to one of my personal non-negotiable commands when it comes to training any dog. “Wait”. Teaching “wait” isn’t only going to help with those who can’t control their impulses (running over to dogs, people etc) outside on walks, but translates to a huge number of circumstances when taught correctly and practised at home. It provides the dog with something to focus on outside of those distractions- you, his owner. This becomes incredibly important when you have a dog who rushes out of the front door when the post man comes, dives out of the car when you open up the boot to get out at the park, dives up at visitors who come to your home. Oatie is only 11 months old and already showing some great progress on the CDK9 program. This will be solidified by homework with his owners at home and we will build week on week when I believe he is ready. Cannot wait to see where we get to by the end and prove to his mom that he’s not the “crackhead” he was last week😂😂 #dogtraining #dog #dogsofinstagram #cokerpoo #dogoftheday

SKUNK 🦨 Meet Skunk, our resident puppy and pain in the arse🫠 Teaching him the basics from the day he arrived, being consistent, patient and having realistic expectations have allowed us to make some great progress. For him to have the impulse control of bolting away when released from his lead is fantastic. Teaching “wait” is, in my opinion, an absolute necessity. It keeps the dog safe from running out of the door when you open it to get your takeaway from the delivery driver, stops them bolting out of the car into the road when you pull up outside the park for your walk, allows you to set boundaries at meal times and generally provides manners for those situations which require a calm dog. Who would be interested in puppy classes?
