Giving Ronnie a massage Monday, unfortunately the time lapse cut out 😩
He had tension in the poll, which you can see me releasing at the start of the video, and tension in the subclavion muscle (located at the front of the shoulder)
If you look closely, you can see A LOT of licking and chewing which emphasises the release of tension. I wish I captured all the yawning as well 🤣
But what a good boy he is 🥰
The lovely benji having a massage session done 🥰
He shown loads of signs of releases, with yawning, licking and chewing, although the decided to be photogenic when the camera came out 🙈
The main areas of manual therapy where his shoulders, realising the trigger spots that were present
Overall a happy and comfortable customer 🥰
The moment a trigger spot releases!
After Ron’s workout in the school, I decided it would be best to do a quick massage, since his muscles were warm. There were a few tight muscles which relaxed through effleurage and trigger points that were released easily by compressions or muscle squeezes.
It’s reassuring to know my techniques are effective when he’s yawning/chewing when there is a release 🥰
I don’t just treat horses… I am trained to do dogs too!
Just like our big horses, dogs, especially working dogs, need their muscles treated to relieve tight muscles and work to the best of their ability.
An initial consultation for a dog consists of the following:
🐶An initial assessment which reviews your dogs confirmation and posture while standing and moving, so treatment can target specific areas
🐶Manual therapy which includes massage, stretching and exercises
🐶A treatment plan with exercises specifically chosen for your dogs needs
🐶A review statement (which is sent at the end of the day) which talks through key findings and treatments used

Palpation and stretches on the very good model 🥰
Palpation was done in order for me to best suit treatment for Ron, feeling for any tightness or trigger spots. Due to him having slightly tight muscles in his neck and abdominal muscles, I thought the best course of treatment was stretching the neck and legs, which seemed to have relieved some tension 😁
This is just a snippet of many of the things I can perform on a horse. Whether it is for rehabilitation purposes or, like in Ron’s case, just as maintenance. Every session will be tailored for your horses needs
