SIXTH HOMELESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS....DESI
We often say we don't know why a dog has been with us so long...but we really don't know why with Desi...
Stunning good looks ✅
Very affectionate and oh so cuddly ✅
Gives excellent kisses ✅
Good with other dogs ✅
Big and bouncy and loves to play✅
Loves a pub lunch ✅
It's a total mystery why he's still with us. He can be a bit strong when he wants to be but not difficult to manage - he'd dearly love an active family to share his life with. Please get in touch if this may be you?
Addy
THE FIFTH HOMELESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS IS....ADDY (AGED 7)
This older lady has earned her retirement, now all she needs is someone to share it with. Addy asks very little of you and gives a lot in return, she’s a wonderful girl, ideal for just about anyone.
Addy is a bit older at 7 and retired from racing at age 6, her last race was even named in her honour. She had a very long career and it’s easy to see why. She still enjoys zoomies but she also enjoys her snoozles.
Addy has been out and about to parks, coffee shops, events, lots and lots of time and is always impeccably behaved. Her most recent trip was to a Christmas Fayre at a local care home where she was fussed and cuddled.
She's been in short-term foster a couple of times and has been the perfect house guest. Loves her playtime, loves her bed, but most of all loves her humans.
It's time now for Addy to find her forever family, Please make her Christmas Wishes come true....
Belle
THE FOURTH HOMELESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS IS...BELLE
Let the bells ring out for Christmas for Belle, our little spook greyhound. Belle hasn't been blessed with bags of confidence and seems to take comfort in being with other greyhounds.
All in all, we think Belle is going to make someone a wonderful companion, but that someone is going to have to be very patient and give her time and space. When she does give you something back, it is all the more special.
There is nothing mor rewarding than gaining the trust of a shy dog.., she will reward your patience by loving you with all her heart and soul.
We were pleased that Santa was able to land his sleigh to start off our Waseley Christmas Fayre walk ..
Buddy video
OUR THIRD HOMELESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS IS BUDDY
Buddy is a gentle, calm chap who enjoys an ear scratch and responds well to a softly, softly approach. He lights up when he's having a run in the paddock so would love his own garden to play in. He likes his toys and plays with them gently.
Buddy went out for a few days on a foster2adopt trial but the family were gutted that it didn't work out. The challenge for Buddy is that he is a nervous chap and just wanted to hide when there were toddlers about. In every other way they said he was "an absolute dream"
He's so affectionate and loving ...this beautiful chap deserves a wonderful, warm, kind home with adults only. We wish that for him as soon as possible. He'll be the "perfect" companion for the right person. Is that you?
Casper the Kennel Clown
SECOND HOMLESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS – CASPER THE KENNEL CLOWN
It would be wonderful to find Casper a home or for someone to foster him over Christmas – Casper was, after all, one of the Three Kings. He presented myrrh as a gift to the baby Jesus. Myrrh is a symbol for humanity and Casper means “treasure keeper” in Persian. Casper desperately needs someone to show him some “humanity” and he will be such a “treasure” for the right person.
Stunning Casper and is feeling glum because no one has come to view him. Casper, who is 6, is a strong, bouncy, fun dog who is the kennel clown. He loves people, gives the best snuggles and is always happy when you go and see him, doing the cutest tippy tappy dance! He’s seen so many of the girls he has shared his kennel with come and go, he could be fur-sibling with the right girl but equally would be happy as an only dog.
Casper has been on a few weekend fosters and in the house, he’s a different dog – so quiet and calm, and loves lounging on his bed. It was great to see how this big, intelligent fella adapts to life in a home so quickly.
You’ll need to eat your Weetabix (other brands are available) to walk Casper though, but he can be a joy if there aren’t any other doggie distractions.
We’re looking for a greyhound saavy owner/fosterer who can help work on his reactions with other dogs - we know he'll get there - he just needs your support.
If that might be you…come and meet Casper – he’ll certainly be a ecstatic to see you.
solo
THE FIRST HOMELESS HOUND OF CHRISTMAS -SOLO
Lovely girl Solo has had enough of being 'solo' and would love to find her very own family. This cheeky girl came in in February of this year and has been waiting far too long to be loved as someone's pet. 🥺
This five-year-old girl is very sweet, greeting you with gentle kisses and a lovely waggy tail. On her walks Solo is calm and easy to handle - although watch out for the squirrels!
Solo is generally ok with other dogs but she's a bit selective about who she lets get close to her.
Solo loves going out and about. She jumps in the car without any help and make herself comfortable as if to say, "what are you waiting for?"
She loves, loves, loves to play and run in the paddock and keeps herself entertained for ages.
Solo loves treats and is quite fond of a puppacino - can she share one with you? For the right family, Solo will bring much joy to your life along with lots and lots of love and laughter. ❤❤❤

(Ted has actually been with us since February which is far, far too long for this upbeat chap.)
