Horrible news. In Surrey, a poor woman was mauled and killed by the dogs she was walking. She had EIGHT dogs. One was a huge one, a 'Leonburger' . I had to look up the breed. At my establishment I would never walk 8 at the same time and I'd never take a Leonburger (they are too big). Poor poor lady. I feel so sorry for her. It's awful. But what was she thinking of? The papers are confused; 'Reports of dogs chasing horses and riders emerged before the dog walker was fatally attacked' (when did dogs chase horses? is this the same 8 dogs or separate unrelated incidents?). This will be good news for the dog-haters who work for the council or run the 'friends of aaaa park' groups. We may find ourselves as dog-walkers banned from public spaces. While we are mourning ONE person who got killed by dogs, we are so in love with cars that we forgive them for all the people they kill: ONS says "an estimated 27,300 killed or seriously injured (KSI) casualties in 2021" and "air pollution is believed to lead to the premature deaths of 40,000 people every year in the UK".
