I feel it’s becoming more and more relevant to share some information on what to do if you witness a dog attack.

Firstly, you want to encourage the victim to remain as STILL as possible, this will keep the dog focused on one area and reduce thrashing.

If the dog is wearing a collar then approach the dog from behind and hold the collar at 10 and 2 and pull STRAIGHT UP, you want to apply enough pressure on the oesophagus to release the jaw, don’t try and pull the dog off, and don’t let the victim pull away until the jaw is released.

If there’s no collar then use a lead, a belt, a scarf, any material you have, your arm 😬 feet off the ground for serious dogs and wait.

Yeast infections are something I see every day, most commonly found in the feet and ears.

It’s impossible to simply wash away, trust me I’ve tried 🤣.

These are some symptoms that might indicate a yeast infection, give this video a watch to understand possible causes.

🔴Intense itching

🔴Red, irritated, inflamed skin

🔴Greasy, crusty, or flaky patches

🔴Thickening (elephant-like) skin

🔴Darker skin colour

🔴Hair loss

🔴Musty smell

🔴Brown discharge in nailbeds

🔴Pink/brown saliva staining on the hair around the paws

I guess we’re finished then 🥺🤣

This is why it’s so important to get the little ones in before they need grooming, all we did today was a bath, mostly towel dried, a little bit of getting used to the hair dryer and a nail trim.

She was flat out asleep before I could finish drying her ears so I watched her sleep for 20 minutes while waiting for mum 🥺

The grooming process is a big deal and it’s best to do lots of little and often sessions before the big haircut is needed 🥰

“Can’t you just brush it out?” No I can’t, I won’t and here’s why Have you ever tried to brush just one small knot out of your own hair ? It’s incredibly painful 😣… now imagine trying to brush out 100’s of them 😫. I (surprisingly, and may I add when I’m not at work🤣) care what I look like, but I have cut knots out of my own hair because brushing is too painful. Dogs, as far as I’m aware, don’t care what they look like, you can brush at home daily to prevent the mats forming but once they’re there, if you do no brushy brushy, I shavey shavey 🤣. With mats like this, I have to use a blade short enough to slide underneath all the knots, if I tried to use a longer blade, it would hit the middle of the knot, pull the knot into the teeth of the blade, and you know what’s attached to the knot…. Skin. Life happens, dogs get matted, the safest thing we can do is shave down short and try again 🤞🏻
