Potsford Livery has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Groom on our BHS approved livery yard. The post can be either employed or freelance.
Working hours will be a Tuesday 9-3 (+ extra hours may be available for holiday/sickness cover etc). Starting in January.
We are a small, friendly and supportive team, and are looking for a team player to join us, who is - flexible, hardworking, and confident around horses with previous experience working on a livery yard or similar setting.
You will need to have relevant training/experience.
Jobs will include usual yard duties such as feeding, poo picking, mucking out, turning in and out, tack cleaning, healthcare/first aid treatments, and assisting to give the horses the high level of care that our clients and horses expect.
This job is hard work physically, and you will be working outside in all weathers.
The yard is based just outside of Wickham Market (not accessible by public transport) so you will most likely need to drive.
We have 21 stables, an outdoor flood lit arena, separate summer and winter grazing and are on a 200 acre working farm and Care Farm (so DBS and references are essential).
You must be over 18 to apply. We pay £11.67 per hour (employed) + 5.6 week’s annual leave. If freelance then please advise of your rates on application.
