We have one full/assisted/assisted DIY livery space now available at our highly commended BHS approved yard in Wickham Market.

We offer:
- Highly qualified staff
- Secure tack room with tea making facilities and separate rug storage
- Modern and clean toilet facilities
- Lorry/trailer parking on site
- A secure feed room with seperate tool shed (all tools, buckets, haynets etc provided)
- Wash down areas with hot showers
- All hay, Bed Down Rapabsorb shavings or straw pellets (1x bale per week) and basic hard feed included in livery price
- 12x12 stables with full rubber matting
- Regularly maintained 20x40 floodlit arena with extensive show jumps available for livery use
- 250 acres of farm with private off-road hacking and close to local villages
- 10 minutes from local equestrian venues (Suffolk Rural and Martley Hall)
- Individual turnout in secure and well maintained paddocks with separate summer and winter grazing (24hr turnout in summer, approx 6 hours in winter weather permitting)
- Daily poo picking and water tank maintenance
- An extensive list of professionals that attend the yard regularly (farriers, chiropractors, saddle fitters, dentists etc), although you’re welcome to use your own

Regrettably we are unable to offer DIY, grass or retirement livery packages.

We are also unable to allow children under 18 on the yard during the hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday in either term time or school holidays.

We are a fun and friendly yard with people of all abilities and disciplines, and regularly take part in fun rides and pub rides together.

We have a vacancy coming up - feel free to share!

Potsford Livery has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Groom on our BHS approved livery yard. The post can be either employed or freelance.
Working hours will be a weekday (likely Tuesday - TBC) 9-3, AND a Sunday 8-4 (+ extra hours may be available for holiday/sickness cover etc). Starting in September.
We are a small, friendly and supportive team, and are looking for a team player to join us, who is - flexible, hardworking, and confident around horses with previous experience working on a livery yard or similar setting.
You will need to have relevant training/experience - as Sundays will be lone working.
Jobs will include usual yard duties such as feeding, poo picking, mucking out, turning in and out, tack cleaning, healthcare/first aid treatments, and assisting to give the horses the high level of care that our clients and horses expect.
On Sundays you will also be required to look after (feed/water/welfare check) our farm animals (sheep/goats/pigs etc) - which training can be given for.
This job is hard work physically and you will be working outside in all weathers.
The yard is based just outside of Wickham Market (not accessible by public transport) so you will most likely need to drive.
We have 21 stables, an outdoor flood lit arena, separate summer and winter grazing and are on a 200 acre working farm and Care Farm (so DBS and references are essential).
You must be over 18 to apply. We pay £10.62 per hour + 5.6 week’s annual leave.

Volunteers Wanted!

Do you have some spare time on your hands and want to help people with learning disabilities and/or Mental Health Problems?

We are looking for a team of volunteers ( preferably with some experience of working with horses) to assist our co-farmers with carriage driving and work on the horse livery yard. A DBS will be required (which we will apply for).
