Started adding my block bookings this morning and apparently 2025 goes May, June, May, June, July 🤔. This diary was gifted to me by my sister and I did wonder if she was testing me but then I read the messages she’s written in the front of it and remember she loves me really 🥰.

First day back after the festive celebrations and honestly, my brain needed it 😂😂.

Remember my books are open to new dogs. If your friends and family are looking for a new dog groomer this new year feel free to pass on my details. It’s so nice when someone comes into the salon because of a recommendation. It’s my favourite compliment 🐶 ❤️

No shows and late cancellations.
Again, I’m going to go on about this but ALL late cancellations or no shows must be paid for before booking your doggos next appointment. If you don’t pay for the appointment I will NOT be booking your dog back in.
I ask for 24 hours notice as it gives me time to fiddle with my diary and hopefully fill a spot. I can tell you now there’s nothing worse and twiddling your thumbs for a hour when someone doesn’t turn up and you’re unable to move dogs around. I hate sitting still and there’s only so much cleaning one can do!

Fleas ⚠️
If your dog arrives with fleas and you’ve not given me a heads up, I’ll be politely passing your dog back and kindly asking you pay for the appointment. I can not risk dogs coming in with fleas and passing them around to other dogs in the salon. Stacey and I share the salon and we have the same rules when it comes to fleas. If I have some warning I can get the dog straight into the bath and deal with the fleas on them. But I can’t have a dog sitting waiting whilst its little passengers are hopping off in hopes of finding a new host. It’s not fair to other dogs or their owners. I can advise what products are best to use at home to reduce the chances of your dogs getting fleas. At the moment fleas are hard as nails and a lot of treatments are failing! Better to be proactive and have preventative steps in place than to fight a war with fleas, it can be exhausting!

Injuries & Infections ❤️‍🩹
If your dog is in pain, please don’t put them through being groomed. I am not a vet. Whilst I’m very knowledgeable when it comes to many doggy issues I can not diagnose or treat your dog. I will not be grooming any dogs who are suffering. It’s not what I signed up for. I can adjust my grooming techniques to keep dogs comfortable who have some conditions but if it’s experiencing pain I won’t put it through anything unnecessary. Give me a heads up and we can rearrange their appointments.

Those who wish to block book, send me dates/times you’re wishing to book and I’ll try my best to accommodate.

📖 DIARY OPEN TO NEW DOGGOS & REGULARS ✂️ 🐶

So, earlier this year I told you all I was going to open a training school and train the next generation of dog groomers. Unfortunately this isn’t going a head now. I’m a little sad but it gives me an opportunity to re open my books and get my butt in the salon more. It wasn’t the right time for one of lovely groomers I was teaming up with and that’s ok. It’ll happen when it’s supposed to.

Those who need their next appointments pop me a message and I’ll get that sorted over the next day or two.

Wishing this lovely lot a Merry Christmas 🎅🏼

Milo is looking fresh for Santa. He looks like he comes from the North Pole. Perfectly white, fluffy and definitely dashing ✨
Then I had Bella, Winston & Coco in for dry cuts.
Bella and Coco are little golden oldies. They’re both super sweet but struggle with the grooming sessions so we try and keep it as quiet, calm and move as swiftly as we can for them. Winston aka Mr Win is their little pack mate, hes amazing.
Miss Maisie also popped in for her Christmas pamper and as usual she was a perfect little angel 😇. Shes is 100% always going to be on Santa’s nice list.
Winnie and Remi are the funniest little double act. It’s absolutely carnage at times with these two but I adore them both. Winnie, as little and cute as she is is a pocket rocket and would give Tigger a bounce for his money! She is wild but on that grooming table she’s an absolute super star. She loves to spend her floor time telling off her sister because her sister wants to love me to death! Her sister Remi has her wild moments and is hilarious after her groom. She behaves perfectly throughout her groom but the minute she knows I’m done she is bonkers! She get super excited, makes a huge racket and tries to eat my ears! If you heard these two in the salon you’d think there was dog fights going on but honestly its all noise and sisterly love ❤️

Today was mental in the salon so thank you to everyone for being so flexible and accommodating to the drama 😂.

This morning I started work and it was dark…… when I left it was dark! Today has been a long, long day!
But I had such a lovely bunch of dogs it was definitely worth it 🤩

FriYAY’s Christmas Pampaws!

Lovely Mitzi was first up. I have lots of pics of her but this ‘winky’ one is my fave! Reminds me of Santa winking on the Coca Cola advert 😉.
Then we had Teddy aka Brian May, Teddy long legs! I got a pic of him looking like he’s been practicing his Elvis lip! One day I’m just going to post pics of bloopers haha.
Handsome Bertie next. He literally is an angel to groom and 100% is always going to be on the nice list. ⭐️
Darling Darla also popped in. I had to give her a gingerbread man bow because she looks like she’s made of ginger and gives me serious hair envy! She’s gorgeous 🤩
Handsome Duncan aka Dunkin donut, Dunk the hunk. Being groomed is one of his favourite things in life! He absolutely loves being bathed and loves being in the salon. He watches my every move and gets very jealous when I pay anyone else any attention 😂.
Finally…….. Mylo and Bella. These two little ones have their pampers together. Bella isn’t the biggest fan but Mylo keeps her calm and she’s always happiest with him at her side. Little cuties 💕

Brace yourselves……..

I’m aware of how busy this time of year is, everyone’s got so much going on and it’s chaos, time right now is so precious! I have lost out on £150 this past week alone from late cancellations and no shows. As you can imagine, being self employed this is a big hit for me. I have a policy when it comes to last minute cancellations, everyone should be aware of this.

If you cancel with less than 24hours notice then you must pay for 100% appointment and I will not be booking anyone in who doesn’t follow this.

If you value me as your groomer, value the love and care I put into the time I spend with your dogs then you must understand that as lovely as it is…… it is my job! This is my income and at Christmas it’s my family who miss out when I’m down on money. It’s a shame that i even have to say this 😔

Freddie thinks if he closes his eyes then I can’t see him either! No Fred! That’s not how this works! I see you and you look fabulous! All spruced up ready for Santa Paws 🐾.
Reggie, Lady, Eddie and Ozzy also had their Christmas pampers today! Eddie has a beard that could put Santa’s to shame. He never fails to make me smile.

Today’s little Christmas Pups.

Suzie, Ted and Billy are a lovely little family of pups who came in for their Christmas pampers this morning. Suzie get so excited when she’s finished I can’t take a decent pic because all she wants to do is get to me and kiss me 😂😂. Shes so beautiful 😍. They all left with their Christmas Bows to put on closer to Christmas. Their amazing pawrents also left lots of goodies for me to take to the rescue dogs.
Thank you everyone who’s been bringing bits and bobs in. I’m super grateful 🙏🏻 ❤️
I had lovely Oscar for his pamper too. Oscar is almost 16 and i do a comfort groom for him. I like to call this a ‘humanity over vanity groom’. I do what I can with him but my number 1 priority is his comfort. He’s been having little episodes where it seems like he forgets what’s going on and completely panics. I didn’t manage to get a picture of him today as I just wanted to get him done without messing. He really didn’t need to be on the table any longer than required and definitely wasn’t wanting a photo after. He deserves a mention though because he’s amazing and I hope he has a super Christmas.
Finally we have Pippin. Pip was bribed with his treats today to sit so well for his photo. He’s such a handsome pup and will do anything for some goodies ⭐️

Today Molly, Charlie, Mason, Barney, Tilly, Buddy, Sophie and Lottie all had their Christmas pampers. Everyone was on their best behaviour today and definitely made it on Santa Paws nice list 🐶 ⭐️

🎄 🎅🏼 CHRISTMAS 🎅🏼 🎄

Christmas Pampers for Toffee, Tilly, Rosea and Poppy. Mitzi decided to have a nap after her wash, blow and tidy up, she’ll be back in the salon in a few weeks for a fresh trim for Santa.

I love this time of year but it’s absolute chaos all round! I am unable to swap and change appointments now as every single day is planned with not just your dogs needs but those before and after. Any cancellations with less than 24hours notice will be charged at full price, as will no shows. Thankfully, this isn’t something I have to implement often. Please understand that it would be near impossible for me to try and rearrange a day at such short notice during such a manic time.

To those who are donating food for rescues please could you bring it before Wednesday 18th December. Thanks so much to those of you who have already left some goodies with us 💕

Today it was my own dogs bath day!! Honestly took me just as long to clean up the hair off Vada than it did to groom her! You’re looking at the reason I refuse to groom big dogs 😂😂😂. Indi took no time at all and no mess! These two are literally chalk and cheese!

I’m going to ask a small favour…….

Do you think you could help out some local rescues with pet food? Tins, unopened biscuits, treats, whatever you can spare?
I’m going to try and get other groomers to join with their pawrents and hopefully we can get some rescues better stocked for Christmas? If everyone brings a little something to their puppers pampers it could really help keep tummy’s full over this festive period.
I’m also happy to collect from those who arnt able to bring it to the salon.

Snuffle mats! Amazing to help burn off some energy. Not just for the little pups but the older dogs love it too. Indi loves working for her meal. This one was from Amazon and I think it was about £5. Some furbabies can’t or won’t go out in this weather and this is an amazing way to help them with mental stimulation to tire them out. Hope you’re all staying safe! Remember to check your fences throughout these storms, we want to keep our pups as safe as possible 🐶 ❤️
