I had a lovely day today volunteering at Dobermann Rescue UK & Europe reg charity no 1169697 helping out with these 2 gorgeous girls that are waiting for a home ๐ซถ๐ผ
This breed can be hard work but they are the most amazing companions ๐ฅน

Little Bean went home this morning after spending a week with us ๐
The week was filled with walks, recall practice, mixing with Apollo & other appropriate dogs, chill time and plenty of treats ๐ฅฐ

Vizsla pup Marshall joined me today for day training ๐ฅน
His owners have done 1:1 sessions with me & are working hard putting all the foundations in place so that Marshall is the bestest boy when heโs older ๐
Day training gives owners that bit of extra support as we work on confidence building, recall and socialisation ๐

Hereโs why doing a combination of structured and adventure walks is the best way to fulfil and stimulate your dog ๐พ
1. Off lead (if recall is 100%) or long leash adventures are usually the most fun for us AND our dogs, they burn some physical energy and it feels so good watching your pup do zoomies in an open space ๐ฅฐ
2. Structured on-lead walks arenโt AS exciting, however they can still be really enjoyable for you and your dog, incorporating basic obedience and engagement exercises will improve your dogโs focus and teach them how to โtune inโ to you ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
3. Just like humans, dogs need a mixture of physical and mental stimulation, the balance will vary depending on your lifestyle and the breed of dog you have but the basics remain the same for all dogs! Exercise + mental stimulation + structure = a fulfilled & happy pooch ๐๐
