The lovely Ace is joining us on his holidays this weekend, I keep getting him & Apollo mixed up can you tell which one is which? 👀🤣
❤️RUNNING FOR DOBERMANN RESCUE UK ❤️
I have worked with several different rescues over the years and most recently spent a day at the UK Dobermann Rescue helping out with the dobes they had in for rehoming.
This breed holds such a special place in my heart as I know first hand how challenging they can be - believe me Apollo is great now but he was a hardcore puppy 🫠 Dobermann’s are the most loyal and loving companions if given enough effort & training 🫶🏼
The work that the staff and volunteers put into running @drue2510 is simply amazing from the day to day walking & rehabilitating, dealing with health issues/vet bills, to transporting dogs up & down the country and caring for the dogs that have been abandoned or handed over, they truly are heroes!
I’ve only recently got into running but I decided I wanted to challenge myself physically and mentally while raising money for such a great charity that does so much for these beautiful dogs ❤️
Any donation small or large will be greatly appreciated and really will make a difference to the rescue! 🐶
I will be running the Aintree Half Marathon on the 21st July - just 5 weeks to go! 🏃🏽♀️

This breed can be hard work but they are the most amazing companions 🥹

Vizsla pup Marshall joined me today for day training 🥹
His owners have done 1:1 sessions with me & are working hard putting all the foundations in place so that Marshall is the bestest boy when he’s older 💖
Day training gives owners that bit of extra support as we work on confidence building, recall and socialisation 🐕
Isn’t he gorgeous 😍
Happy New Year! ✨
It’s so good to be back this week, I enjoyed the break but I did miss all the pooches while I was off! 🥹

Here’s why doing a combination of structured and adventure walks is the best way to fulfil and stimulate your dog 🐾
1. Off lead (if recall is 100%) or long leash adventures are usually the most fun for us AND our dogs, they burn some physical energy and it feels so good watching your pup do zoomies in an open space 🥰
2. Structured on-lead walks aren’t AS exciting, however they can still be really enjoyable for you and your dog, incorporating basic obedience and engagement exercises will improve your dog’s focus and teach them how to ‘tune in’ to you 💁🏽♀️
3. Just like humans, dogs need a mixture of physical and mental stimulation, the balance will vary depending on your lifestyle and the breed of dog you have but the basics remain the same for all dogs! Exercise + mental stimulation + structure = a fulfilled & happy pooch 🐕💖

Lovely Monday afternoon walk with the gorgeous Bear 😍
1:1 walks and day training with me are tailored to each individual dog’s needs and training level 🐾
Some of the things I do with Bear during our walks/day training include:
• Loose lead practice
• Recall practice
• Play with a tug toy
• Basic obedience (sit & down)
• Calm socialisation with other dogs
Whether you’re out at work in the day and need someone to break up your dog’s day or you just need a bit of extra training support, I can accomodate any breed & age 🐶💖

This week I’ve got the gorgeous Freddy with me for 2 day train’s - which essentially means he comes out and about with me and we work on all areas of training in different locations, mainly his reactivity to other dogs.
Freddy’s owner has been doing well with him during our 1:1 sessions and wanted to give him that bit more exposure alongside our coaching sessions 🐾
Freddy like a lot of other dogs was over-socialised as a pup and had too many chaotic encounters with other dogs making him very nervous and on-edge, we are going to build his trust and confidence back up by giving him lots of guidance and positive experiences with other dogs 🐕
How cute is he? I might have to steal him he’s like a mini Apollo 🤣
Had a little play around with Apollo and Bear this evening working on their synchronised obedience 🤣
Safe to say it was entertaining!
Remember if you have multiple dogs and you need to work on an area of training or behaviour, you NEED to work with them individually first and then gradually take them out together!

This morning’s session with Widget the Shih Tzu cross working on his loose lead walking, obedience and reactivity to other dogs.
Widget’s owner is 100% committed to training him and giving him the best life possible and he is making great progress 👏🏼
Structure and consistency are essential in any area of training, you get out what you put in! 🐾
Benefits of teaching your dog to walk on a loose lead ✨
• It massively reduces reactivity issues as your dog understands that they don’t pull into the lead when they see a person/dog/other trigger
• It puts your dog into a much calmer state of mind when out of the house, rather than a hyperfocused/overexcited/manic state of mind
• It puts less physical strain on the owner AND dog as there isn’t lots of unnecessary tension on the lead
• It’s much more enjoyable for the owner and dog as the owner feels confident they are in control and the anxiety of being dragged over is gone!
If you feel like you’ve tried everything but your dog still pulls you on the lead - I guarentee you aren’t communicating to your dog in the right way!
I can help you fix this 🐾
Anyone elses dog been very confused by the snow? 🤣
