*** WEIGHT CLINIC ***

Truffle has been attending Weight Clinics since February 2024 with our nursing team and has now achieved her ideal weight. Weight Clinics are held by our nursing team where the nurse will discuss feeding, nutrition and making a diet plan to allow your four legged friends to be at an ideal weight.

There are numerous health risks associated with overweight cats and dogs including : joint issues, fatty organs, extra risks for surgery and other health conditions.

Monitoring your pet’s weight is essential which is why their weight is checked at every appointment to ensure that medication is prescribed and administered correctly. Clients are welcome to come into the surgery to weigh their pets at their convenience.

Weight Clinics are with the nurses every two or four weeks and are free. During this appointment we will track and monitor your pet’s weight and help them along the journey to achieve their ideal weight.

Rudi came in for his puppy flea, worming weight check and health check with our nurse. This is important to do every month as puppies and kittens can grow quickly and this allows the veterinary surgeons to prescribe to the correct weight.

We had a customer ring today who had received several emails saying their records indicate that the microchip registration had expired and In order to still be contacted or to update the emergency pet keeper contact information, they needed to visit the link. ***THIS IS A SCAM****. Luckily the customer rang us first and we told her that microchip numbers dont expire and advised her to contact the number on her paperwork. Please be vigilant and always double check first

This young dog went missing in the Grantham area on Thursday 3rd October. Any information, please contact dog warden or police on 101 or take to your local vets.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE .....
🐶New Separate Dog and Cat Friendly Waiting Areas🐈

We're always looking to improve our patient's experience with us. We understand that for some owners and their pets, it can be a challenging and stressful time.

Did you know that cats feel safer up off the floor? Therefore, we have now provided a purpose built unit so you can place your cat carrier onto one of the shelves; this creates a visual barrier to give your cat an extra sense of security.

We have also provided blankets and calming sprays which can be used to cover your carrier to make them feel a little safer during their time here in the practice.

Pet Remedy is a valerian based calming product that can be sprayed around the carrier or directly onto the blankets provided.

Here's Nic's cat, Inky demonstrating how to use our new cat friendly shelving.
