As well as it being grass seed season, it's also the time of the year for ticks and fleas! These pesky parasites can make your dog uncomfortable and lead to health issues if not addressed promptly.

Here's a handy guide to the 7 key places to check for fleas:

🐕 Dogs will be dogs! Jinny here loves to splash around and arrived with a field full of grass seeds in her coat 😂

🐶 I'd much prefer to see this photo before she arrives than just after she left me all nice and clean! Don't show me what mess they get into immediately after their groom! 🤫

🌞 The sun's out! So remember to be mindful of the air temperature and the pavement temperature when walking your dogs.
🔥 No dog was harmed by missing one walk but walking them when it's too hot can cause burnt paws or heat stroke which can be very serious.
🏖️ If in doubt, stay indoors! There's plenty of games you can play inside to keep them busy.

🐾 Let's talk grooming schedules! 🐾

Wondering how often your furry friend needs grooming? It varies by dog! 🐶

✨ Whether your pup loves muddy puddles and has a thick, long coat, or prefers to stay clean and has short fur, here's a quick guide:

Every 4-6 weeks 🗓️
Perfect for curly or low/no shedding breeds like poodle mixes and bichon frise. Their coats are prone to knots, so they need regular professional grooming and daily brushing at home.

Every 6-8 weeks 🗓️
Ideal for long-coated breeds such as border collies and huskies. These double-coated pups need regular brushing every 2-3 days to prevent compacted fur and keep them looking their best.

Every 10-12 weeks 🗓️
Even short-coated breeds like pugs and labradors need grooming every 10-12 weeks. Despite their short fur, they shed a lot, and this interval helps keep their nails trimmed and their coat healthy.

📢 Polite Notice to All Customers 📢

Due to an increase in no-shows, I will now be enforcing my terms & conditions requiring a £20 deposit for ALL appointments. Previously, this was only for new customers, but recent missed appointments have made this necessary.

The deposit can be deducted from your grooming fee or carried over to your next appointment. However, it will be forfeited if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice or don't show up.

Missed appointments hurt my business, so I need at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Thank you for your understanding and continued support! 🙏

🐕 These are my last slots for a 2hr full groom - suitable for most spaniels, small doodles etc. and some breeds requiring a cut as well as a bath and dry.

🐾 Any dogs requiring a 2.5hr+ full groom, I am now booking into July. This would include medium to large poodle mixes and other large breeds requiring a trim.

💕 If you have a labrador/pug/dachshund/bulldog or similar that requires no clipping I may be able to squeeze you in to some afternoon slots so please drop me a message to book in. I have 1 elusive SATURDAY slot for a no clip breed on 29th June at 12.15pm.
