First trip to the vet for Top Cat this morning, he travelled brilliantly, unlike Prada who complained very loudly! Prada was in for a scan ready to be spayed next week in readiness for her retirement. I will miss her sooo much 😭Thankfully she is retiring close by and I will be able to visit her.

Here is a guide to naming your kitty. There are a total of 30 characters we can use. All certificates are prefixed with Gentle-Giants which take up 13 of those characters, leaving you with 17 to name your baby. If the name has been used before in previous registrations by Gentle Giants, that name cannot be used again. For that reason I try and include your surname so that the GCCF allow the name through. As you will see from the guidance, we are not allowed to use recognised titles like Champion, Winner and such like. There is no rush on choosing your name, you have 4 weeks or so. I look forward to knowing what you will name your new babies.

Four more babies were selected today. Cezzaine your up first with brown collar and the tank blue collar. Laura, your little squeakers follow with bright blue collar and lime green collar. All that remains is one baby to place as I work through my list and for you to choose names for your little bundles of fluff. I will put a post up next on the limitations of how to select your names.

We’ve had a final change on collars which will now see them through to leaving, unless they totally batter them. Changes are:-
Yvonne your baby changed from dark blue to bottle green.
Black smoke female now lime green💚
Anna your baby is now orange 🧡
Blue collar girl by Duchy is now pink 🩷
Kelly your boy is now red ❤️ and the pink collar brown tabby male is now bright blue🩵

Three more days of monitoring weights on Duchy’s litter. Earlier litters from Coco and Chanel are all making great gains so unless I become concerned they won’t necessarily be weighed now until their 9 week vet checks 💉

Top Cat was introduced to the tv today (as you do to entertain your children 🤭) the rest follow with their respective owners or descriptions. As many of you may know, I marry next week and I am particularly short on time at the moment 😬. I think Chanel has paid a visit to Duchy in the night and threatened her with social services because the penny has now dropped and she is toileting her babies. But then, when Duchy was eating in her own en-suite, Chanel took matters into her own hands and STOLE a baby 😳 STOLE her baby! I think I need to run a DBS on her!😆

Today’s ward round 😆 I know it must seem criminal placing collars on them the moment they are born; however the collars are really important for me to be able to monitor their weights daily for the first week or so. All the baby’s are doing well and plumping up nicely. Duchy has yet to realise that she needs to toilet her babies, but she is doing so well as a first time mum ♥️ it really surprised her when her first appeard, she did a double take and looked at me as if to say “is this mine?” ♥️
