Today is World Diabetes Day! ❤️

Just like humans, our furry companions can develop diabetes too. Pet diabetes occurs when the body can’t properly produce or utilise insulin, leading to elevated blood
sugar levels. Early detection is key to managing this condition and ensuring your pet lives a happy, healthy life. Some signs to watch for include increased thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, reduced activity/feeling tired, and increased appetite. If you notice any of these symptoms, please contact your local Severn Veterinary Centre to make an appointment with one of our lovely Vets 😁

Happy Wednesday 🐶🩷 This is Max 😁 Max recently had to have part of his tail amputated because he's simply too happy and keeps injuring it from all the wagging! He has formed a bond with receptionist Hannah and enjoyed some cuddles with her while he had his wound lasered and re-dressed 🥰

Make Every Day an Adventure for Your Cat! 💜

Keeping your cat enriched and happy doesn’t have to be complicated. Spice up their routine with these fun and simple activities that keep them entertained and mentally sharp 😁

🐱 Scrunched Paper Play: Toss a scrunched-up paper ball for endless entertainment!
🐱 Hide and Seek: Open doors, cupboards, or closets for a mini-exploration adventure.
🐱 Blanket Fort Fun: Drape a blanket over toys or furniture to create an instant cat-sized mystery!
🐱 Cardboard Creations: Build a pyramid with toilet or kitchen roll tubes for some DIY fun.
🐱 Puzzle Feeder: Turn mealtime into a game with scattered treats or a puzzle feeder.
🐱 DIY Wand Toy: Wiggle a ribbon or string to activate your cat’s hunting instincts - but be sure they can’t take it away and swallow it!

🩷🩺 Treatment Tuesday 🩺🩷
This is Belle 🐶💕 Did you know that 90% of dogs and cats suffer from some form of dental disease? 😱 One of our lovely Vets recommended that Belle came in for a Dental procedure after examining her mouth during a routine annual vaccination appointment. Belle was booked in for a Dental a couple of weeks later, and as you can see from the before and after photos her teeth are now sparkling meaning a much happier and healthier pup! 😁

Meet Hannah! Featuring little Poppy 🥰 Hannah is one of our wonderful Veterinary Nurses here at Severn Vets, mostly based at our Berkeley House Hospital. Hannah primarily enjoys inpatient care and has a Certificate in Medical Nursing - she's also a lab queen 👩‍🔬👑 Outside of work Hannah enjoys spending time with her little dog Reggie and is currently renovating her house with her partner 😁

🩷🩺 Treatment Tuesday 🩺🩷 This is Monty 🐶🐶 Monty had Spinal Surgery at the end of August and has been regularly coming to see our lovely Physiotherapist, Natasha. Monty could hardly walk and had limb weakness. The warm water provides support and helps him to regain strength and stability. Monty is doing really well now and loves coming in for his swim, especially when he gets to raid the toy box! 🥰

This is Cosmo 🐾🩷 The first video is the night before Cosmo came to see our Orthopaedic Vet, Jock, last year. The second video is Cosmo a year on, running around on the beach celebrating his 11th birthday! 💕 When Cosmo came to see Jock, he could barely walk. He was admitted and had a CT scan, then stayed with us and had surgery the next day. As you can see, Cosmo has made a full recovery and is absolutely loving life again 🥰 A huge thank you to Cosmo’s mum for sending us such a lovely update 🩷
