have had a fantastic time celebrating Christmas away Scarborough. A massive thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well. We even got a chance to help Santa Paws deliver some goodies on Christmas Day morning. Bow had a great time playing with his tennis ball on the beach whilst we gave out some 'Merry Woofmas ' and 'Yappy Christmas' bones to the other pups!

We love - dog friendly to the nth degree! We'll be back later in the year 🐕🐾🐾🐾

Wholesome dog biscuit treats which Flo loves (she can be a bit picky)! I first found Apawtiser biscuits in our local farm shop, but they sold out, so I did what any very impressed ‘consumer’ would do, I went online to the Apawtiser website. The biscuits smell so good, no wonder Flo loves them so much! The website is easy to use, and the service is excellent, I received my order very promptly. I like to use independent businesses and will definitely source Flo’s treats directly from Apawtiser. The Happy Woofmas bone biscuit was a lovely addition to my order. Also, great that you (and therefore, I can), support street vets another good reason to shop directly. Thank you, Flo & I will be back again for more supplies."

Please check out your local small, independent retailers. So many of these shops rely on strong Christmas sales to help them through the quiet winter months. Amazon can cope without all of your money.

We have now officially started our Christmas shutdown, not an extended holiday but a chance to get stocked up ready for the New Year.

The last 18 months have been a whirlwind. The only way we've managed to keep on top of things has been baking smaller batches a few orders at a time. The result of this has been slower dispatch times, not great for our customers!

There are big changes planned for 2025. The first being an updated website that will be easier for our customers to navigate. Also featuring a new trade portal allowing our stockists to order online.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters, customers, stockists - we honestly couldn't do this without you!

I realise that we are late getting this out but tbh perfectly honest we just haven't had a chance until now.

Most of you will know that Apawtiser is just Sarah and I (Mac and Bow don't really pull their wait and are only in it for the treats). Business has been incredible over the last year or so. It is no exaggeration when I say we currently have over a quarter of a tonne of treats on order. Production is also hampered a little at the moment as I undergo physio, leaving Sarah doing the bulk of the baking.For this reason we have chosen to slim down our Christmas offerings a little. We will also be limiting the ordering window. So get your orders in quick!

We have decided to extend our Christmas shutdown period to allow us to recoup a little. As a result we will not be dispatching any trade orders between the 7th December and the 6th January. Stores are welcome to preorder ready for the New Year.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you once again for all your orders and support, we really do appreciate it. Please be patient with us as we get your orders baked.

We did it! It has been a hectic few weeks but all the Halloween treats have been dispatched. You'll start to see them on shelves soon.

Thank you to everybody for all of your orders, we really appreciate every one of them.

A massive thank you also to Sarah who has done the vast majority of the baking over the last 6 weeks, while I recover from a sprained Trapezius and compressed nerve - all your orders have literally broken me 😄. I really don't know how I would manage without her.

We're having a short break now while we prepare to bake the quarter tonne of biscuits we currently have on order. We're also going to sort out our Christmas offerings - the ones I have been promising to get out to people for the last 3 weeks. There's just not enough hours in a day.

We often get asked if we are going to be participating in any dog shows/festivals. The answer is generally no. This is not because we have anything against them. We should grab any opportunity to celebrate dogs.

The majority of our business is trade sales. Many of these businesses attend Dogfest, Paws in the Park etc. it doesn't seem fair that we then pull up to the same shows selling Apawtiser treats ourselves. All our customers are important to us and we don't want to retract from what they do.

Rest assured if you attend a dog show/festival, you are more than likely to find somebody selling Apawtiser treats.

Now I've got your attention... Don't panic!

It's only for a few days.

We will be closed from the 18th until the 30th of September. We will try and dispatch any trade orders placed before the 11th before the closure (size dependent). Any orders placed after this date will be dispatched as soon as possible on reopening.

Website orders can be placed up until the 15th for dispatch before the closure.

Our Apple and Peanut Butter Bones and Apple and Banana Bones are changing!

Our business is growing rapidly and we're having to find more efficient ways of working. Our new bone shape cutter will allow us to cut out more biscuits in less time. Don't worry the recipe and taste are staying the same - it's just the shape that's changing (slightly).

There's no hiding our treats, you'll notice the packaging is transparent. There's a good reason for this. We want you to be able to see what you are getting!

Not only are our bags transparent, so are our ingredients. If you read the label you'll notice that all the ingredients are things you've heard of. There's nothing artificial, no confusing terminology. Take these Sweet Potato Bites for instance, they contain coconut flour, real sweet potato (not sweet potato flour or powder) and rapeseed oil. In total 42% of the recipe is made up of sweet potato.

We are able to give a 10 month shelf life by dehydrating at low temperatures to withdraw the moisture. We could just add vegetable glycerine, but we don't want to add an ingredient that is manufactured in a factory (not obtained naturally as implied) and has not really been researched ( the main test was in 1933 on 3 dogs).

It's been a day of Apple and Banana Hearts today. The apple and banana actually make up 45% of the ingredients in this treat - a proper fruity taste!

Each treat is cut by hand, just like all of our other varieties. You can imagine how long it has taken to produce the 5000+ bags of treats that we have produced so far this year. Not to mention the 1000+ bags of our Bag of Bones varieties and the 700+ of our large cookies.

I can't lie, it's hard work, but it's all worth it when we read your comments, see your posts and stories. We are extremely grateful for all the support we receive. Thank you!

The past 12 months have been extremely difficult for small businesses. The economy is on a knife edge and makes it difficult for a business to grow.

Recently I've discovered the podcast - I love it! It has really helped me to stay a little more level headed, to look at things in a more positive light.

I cannot recommend it highly enough!

It's been a strange year for small businesses with lots of ups and downs.
