Effective immediately…the garden centre has ceased trading and the doors have been closed

Ourselves and the other concessions are still open and there should be someone at the door letting customers in for concessions only

We still have some ex display enclosures available and our live stock has been severely reduced so you can still come on down over the weekend

It is with great sadness and disappointment that i have to announce the closure of TA Exotics…..

Many of our customers are aware with issues surrounding the garden centre In which we are located which have severely effected trade for us

We have tried our hardest to ride through it but it has come to the time we are simply not able to anymore

The arrival of a new company to take over the garden centre has left us even more uncertain about the future as they are due to take over next week and we STILL haven’t even met them

We haven’t been advised of their plans for the building, we have “heard” they do not want any concessions at all…..citing that concessions look “untidy” and do not match their look, they are already planning on removing the soft play area as it doesn’t fit in with their look…..a surprise as the soft play is a massive hit with local families

with all this being said, we have decided to “protect” ourselves now before it becomes too late

We will be having a huge closing down sale starting this weekend 9th-10th September,including animals,dry stock and all of our display enclosures including all of my breeding animals and racks

Birthday parties that have been booked to take place after September will unfortunately need to be cancelled (full refund off course given) ,any boarding animals booked to come to arrive with us after the 15/09/23 will unfortunately need to find alternative arrangements

Any placements/work experience will also need to be rearranged unfortunately

I am also aware many of you will want to message me , please don’t be offended if i do not reply as this is obviously devastating for me to have to do in the first place, but just know, this isn’t a snap decision,there are various reasons that have led to this outcome

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing loyal customers for your amazing support over the last 3 years….you have truly been awesome and we couldn’t have done it without you
