SUP with your PUP August 24
Jenny Faulkner gave us a shout out this morning on Smooth FM - great start to the day ๐ฅณ
A Very special customer, always has fun in his hydro session, but when hes had enough, he looks up to where his mum hangs the towel as if "its time now" ...he then enjoys a long warm, soapy spa session.....with more towel drying.......he then goes home and does a final DIY job :) What a lovely boy Rowan ๐ฅฐ (shared with mums concent)
Anyas 2nd session in the UWT (underwater treadmill) at Greyfriars yesterday. The barking is her asking for treats that Iโm holding the other side of the glass โฆ.she gets them drop fed ๐
Often one Hydrotherapist is just not enough. Support following surgery can often mean that 2 or 3 Hydrotherapist are needed. One to support the left side, one to support the right and one at the rear to support the joint in question. The owner is often needed to motivate the dog, by encouraging from the side of the pool. Its extremely important to not only check that the center and Hydrotherapist are qualified and registered, (https://narch.org.uk/Home/Index) (https://www.canine-hydrotherapy.org/) but that they have the facilities and staff to correctly rehabilitate your dog!
We started off with 3 hydrothrapists at Greyfriars and now have it down to 2!
This is Anya's second swim at Greyfriars ๐
Itโs so good to introduce your puppy to water early and in a safe environment - say hello to the adorable Winston , who is 15 weeks old . The whole family came to support his first swim and dad had the pleasure of being in the water with him. A very positive experience and a very very lovely pup โฅ๏ธ๐พ๐
After swimming we either towel dry or blast dry pooches , not good for them to stay wet in the cold damp weather......some, of course prefer to dry themselves ๐๐๐๐
The very lovely Olga has been swimming for some time now. Recently undergone surgery and we are using jets to increase fitness ......what a star she is ๐พ
Molly has been swimming at Summerhill for two years and is now swimming for fun and fitness, Molly competes at Hoopers and is practicing her โWaitโ , as you can see, sheโs doing really well ๐ Good luck Molly for Friday ๐ Sue Petrie ๐ฅฐ
Buddy - GSD
Here we have Buddy , the gorgeous GSD, demonstrating how Dogs use the "Drag Method" of swimming, which means they pull themselves through the water using the top half of their body. The back legs are used as extra propelling and more so when the dog needs to turn! Bud has his neatly tucked up when hes cruising back in the jet stream :)
