Introducing Vanessa Tobias VN. Offering Mobile clinic, pet sitting, pop ins and pet taxi.

Vanessa is a long term friend of ours and was a very welcomed addition to the Pet-Professionals family a few years ago.

Vanessa is a qualified Veterinary nurse and lives in Shoreham with her family and pets.

She covers Shoreham, Southwick, Steyning and surrounding areas and offers a mobile clinic for nail clipping, dematting of fur, gland emptying, medication administering, cat sitting, pet taxi, puppy pop ins and private dog walking!

📣 Meet the team!

We are thrilled to have another qualified dog trainer and behaviourist on our team who shares the same ethos, passion, kindness, and thirst for knowledge that we do.

Sarah Kelly lives in Worthing with her husband, Sam, and their rescue English Bull Terrier, Prea.

She is a certified canine behaviourist with the ICB, a KAD-approved professional, an ABTC-registered animal training instructor and a certified Fear Free professional. Her passion lies in helping alleviate stress and anxiety in dogs (and their owners), and she has a particular interest in handling situations, such as visits to the vet or groomer.

Sarah loves Canine Cooperative Care, which builds trust and strengthens bonds. She trialled this approach with her own rescue dog, Prea, and has now completed her Level 3 certification.
After a short break from studying to get married, Sarah intends to restart soon, so there will undoubtedly be new qualifications to add in the near future!

📣 INTRODUCING OUR NEW PUPPY PRE SCHOOL COURSE! 🙌🏻

Offering early support prior to vaccinations:

It has been shown that learning in the first 12 weeks of life reaps the biggest rewards for the smallest of input. Don’t miss this opportunity to find out what’s important to do now, before you can attend our in person classes and how to do it safely.

Our puppy pre-school classes are for young pre vaccinated puppies 8-12 weeks.

🐾 Run by a fully qualified behaviourist and veterinary nurse.

🐾 Virtual course to get an essential head start safely with an option for in person training once vaccinated.

🐾 WhatsApp group for full support and help on hand.

🐾 Learn basic skills and games as well as the triangle of success and how to create a harmonious household with a new puppy.

🐾 15 minutes for Q and A every week to provide bespoke advice for you individual journeys.

The course is £50.00 or £70.00 with the optional social training walk at the end of the course.

🥳 The fabulous Pet-Professionals team enjoyed some Christmas festivities at our AGM recently...

We covered our updates for the last year..

🐾 Now offering Dog Reiki and massage from new team member Nicky.

🐾 A welcome to latest new team members Chrissie, Nicky and Christina.

🐾 Team member Jolene became a certified dog trainer and pet first aid trainer with the Dog Training College. We will shortly be offering dog first aid training to the public.

🐾 Rosie completed her Diploma in Foundations of Canine Behaviour Management with Compass Education.

🐾 Hayley completed her Animal welfare QLS level 4 and is now undertaking her Animal care QLS levels 2.

🐾 Sarah Kelly completed her level 5 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour. She also became a certified canine behaviourist with the ICB and is now a member of the UK dog charter.

Congratulations guys! 🥳

We looked at our growth over the last year and where we can grow further to offer more to our clients and their pets.

We also celebrated some 10 year anniversaries for some of the team…

We are so incredibly proud of our team and the level of commitment they show on a daily basis to us and to their clients. So often they go above and beyond and this is testament to how much they care.

Meet the team 👋🏼

Pete lives in East Preston with his partner Kate who has previously worked with us at Pet-Professionals.

Peter was the co-owner / director of a Bulgarian street dog rescue charity "Twitchy Noses" fostering and re-homing abandoned and stray dogs across Europe and the UK. As such he has gained vast experience of working with extreme cases of animal neglect, malnutrition, illness and injury.

In 2010 he also set up "The Neuter Network"- a UK registered Bulgarian charity providing free neutering to villagers who owned dogs and cats, as well as offering education of nutrition and health care of their animals.

Pete offers boarding for dogs in the comfort of his own home. Being currently pet free means we can now offer our clients exclusive use for home boarding if required, perfect for dogs who prefer to be the centre of attention 🥰

Pete is a certified dog first aider, licensed and insured dog boarder and day carer. License number 117436.

Sarah is an ABTC Animal behaviour technician (pending), IBC Canine behaviourist (pending), KAD approved professional, PACT accredited, ABTC registered and a Puppy School tutor.

Sarah is also a certified Elite Fear Free professional and her passion is to help alleviate stress and anxiety in dogs and cats (and their owners) when visiting the vets or being handled.

As a certified KAD professional (kids around dogs) Sarah is able to help families with children to train their dogs and live in harmony together. She can also help with children who are fearful of dogs.

Sarah offers canine behaviour packages and one to one training consults as well as group training classes.

Meet the team 👋🏼

Vikki has been a friend of ours for a long time so we were super excited to have her onboard! She lives in Worthing with her family and her little dachshund Betty ♥️🐾

Vikki is very experienced with animals, having worked with them for over 20 years.
She studied for 4 years at Brinsbury college. For 11 years Vikki worked for an animal welfare charity as an animal rescue and welfare officer with wildlife and domestic animals.
She has also worked on working farms and working farms open to the public as a barn supervisor!

Vikki covers Worthing and offers dog walking, pet taxi, dog home boarding and pet sitting services.

Karen lives in Ferring with her husband and 3 dogs, Daisy the Labradoodle and Woody & Tilly the Golden Retrievers!

She is an experienced dog owner and has completed courses in Pet First Aid as well as completing the Pet-Professionals training and behaviour courses.

Karen is fully insured and currently offers dog walking, home boarding, pet taxi and pet sitting to our clients.

Meet the team! 👋🏼

Ruth lives in Worthing and shares her own home with Albert the bulldog and her son Ezra.

Ruth has worked in a large referral hospital for 6 years as the Animal Ambulance Driver amongst other things. Prior to this Ruth worked in a very respected Kennels and learned how to groom dogs to a high standard.

Ruth has a Higher Diploma in Animal Behaviour and has done many animal courses at Plumpton Agricultural Collage to include City & Guilds in Dog Grooming, Animal First Aid and even sheep shearing!

Meet the team….

Christina is a complete animal lover having many years experience working with pets, from dog boarding, working in a dog hotel as well as in a veterinary practice.

She has had her own cat sitting business for 10 years until recently relocating to West Sussex. She now offers mainly dog walking and cat sitting. She is also a qualified dog first aider.

She lives on her own with her Chihuahua and two cats. All of whom are rescues.

A huge Pet-Professionals congratulations to Blue, Freddie & Ruby on graduating from their Transformation Teenagers class! 👏🏻 🥳

This course is designed to support you through all the challenges that adolescence can bring, as well as build on existing skills in your training. It follows on perfectly from our Puppy classes.

Thats a wrap for this years Transforming Teenagers class as we are fully booked for the rest of the year. We can still offer one to one training!

🤔 How do you know if your dog is suffering from silent pain?

Just like humans, our pets also suffer with pain and trauma that they often cannot communicate, meaning it can go undetected by many pet owners. As our four legged friends get older, they slow down and have less mobility, their joints can become inflamed and painful.

Interestingly, soft tissue neck and back pain can be found to exacerbate anxiety/reactivity in dogs.

WEBB encourages healthy movement of not only the body’s structure but healthy movement of the energy as well.

Our pets can suffer from chronic pain - this is silent pain, especially in the soft tissues. It can often be invisible to even the most caring owners as it is accumulative (building slowly over time).

They can also suffer from acute pain stemming from an illness or injury. This pain is easy to see; a young dog may have over extended itself and so a limp or a change in behaviour is visible.

WEBB can be extremely beneficial in both cases.

Whole Energy Body Balance is a healing somatic bodywork method that, when applied, relieves tension in the neuro fascial network. This is the connective tissue / group of tissues in the body that maintain the form of the body and its organs and provide internal support. This can ease acute/chronic pain and trauma.

It helps to regulate the nervous system and balance the energy system, creating better connection/communication for a healthier, happier pet.

We offer your beloved dog a holiday of his/her own by having them stay in our own homes alongside our own families.

They receive plenty of love and attention whilst with us and are treated in the same way as our own pets. They enjoy being thoroughly spoilt the whole time they’re with us and owners are updated with texts, calls and picture messages on request.

Office dog Farley is currently loving her holiday in Wales - so many new places and things to explore. We have taken 4 dogs away with us and it’s an absolute joy to watch them living their best lives ♥️🐕😍

Beautiful Franklin has only just started his 2nd week of our transforming teenagers classes and he has already grasped an amazing chin rest. The chin rest is used as part of our cooperative care training to help build trust and consent around husbandry tasks.
