🔸Before we let our hay steamers be sold we went to great lengths to make sure we only used the 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 plastics available.

🔸We developed the inHAYle range of hay steamers so that you can test the temperature of the centre of the hay with the use of our 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 plunge thermometer.

🔸It is 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 that all the hay gets to the required temperature to kill bacteria/mould, not just the outside.

🔸During testing of other/test boxes we found that if we put a temperature on the lid as others do you will always get a reading of 90c+.

🔸However if you use a plunge thermometer on these boxes to test the temperature of the centre of the hay you were only getting 65-70c.

🔸65-70c is the perfect temperature for mould/bacteria to thrive & multiply!!

❄️❄️We weren’t expecting to wake up to snow this morning ❄️❄️

In this cold weather remember to follow the “Working in freezing conditions” section of your inHAYle hay steamer user manual.

To maintain the operational health of your inHAYle 190/ 108 Hay Steamer during freezing conditions follow the guidelines below:

• Disconnect the flexi hose from the steam generator
• Unscrew the filler cap on the steam generator and empty all the water out
• Remove the protective grid from the hay chest, tip the hay chest so that any water inside can disburse
• Make sure the flexi hose pipe is free from water

***Warning…
If ice has formed in the hay chest/generator move both to a warm space and allow the ice to melt naturally.

If you attempt to use your inHAYle 190/108 Hay Steamer when it is frozen there is the risk of back pressure, meaning the steam will not be able to escape and will back up inside the steam generator and escape through the pressure relief valve.

Only use your inHAYle 190/108 Hay Steamer when you are sure that the ice has completely melted and there is no risk of damage.

Never use antifreeze or similar in your steam generator. This will be a health hazard to your horse and will damage your steam generator voiding your warranty.
