As some of you may know I have been studying with Gundog Trainers Academy and in April will finally take my practical exam and with luck on my side will qualify as an Accredited Gundog Instructor as well as accreditation from the The Animal Behaviour and Training Council🤩🥳 From March I will be studying with The College Of Scent Dogs Ltd working towards C&G Scent Detection Dog Handler & Instructor Credentials. BRAND NEW at Under The Edge Arts Puppy Playgroup Dates: Thursday 10th October, Thursday 7th November, Thursday 5th December Location:Under the Edge Arts, The Chipping Hall, The Chipping, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 7AD Managed and careful socialisation asap for your pup will help build a more resilent and well balanced companion. There will be no free running in the session. In order to give all pups the best experience we strive for a calm and quiet environment with lots of space between the pups so we are able to ensure any meetings are appropriate. Designed specially for puppies (8-12 weeks) that cannot yet safely go out and about have had their first vaccination but not their second. To provide your puppy with the chance to socialise, build confidence and experience the world safely. The hall is disinfected prior to and after the session with equipment, rugs, toys etc kept exclusively for Puppy Playgroup sessions. New package course: Walking in the countryside £149.95 Reg and Ted Enclosed Dog Field Our most common request for help is walking on the lead and recall. In this new package we are offering: A recorded webinar to provide background information about what we are doing and why 1 x 50 min 1:1 session learning the basic strategies we are going to implement 1 x 50 min small group walk session, maximum of 3 dogs in a controlled and managed walk 1 x 90 min small group walk session, maximum of 5 dogs making use of fields, paths and woods to really practice the techniques in a simulated scenario. We will be focusing on: - Connection - quietly keeping an eye on one another without excessive cues - Proximity between you and your dog - Signalling when we are walking, when is free time and when is time to stop and relax - Building looking to you for permission and guidance rather than becoming self employed - Navigating gateways - As well as walking as part of a group or in close proximity to other dogs As with everything this is a force free course based on ensuring you and your dog improve and understand each other's connection. No harsh corrections. And group walking will be managed and assessed before as well as during to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the experience.
