Good morning everyone.

We have gotten updated information from our insurance which covers XL bully usage of the field.
I would like to stress that these rules have been put on us by the insurance company following the recent ban by the government.

luckily we are secure enough to allows us continue to provide our service as long as we XL bully owners are able to provide us with the below information prior to using the field.

If anybody would like any assistance with the following please feel free to message us and we will do our best to help.

FIELD HIRE

As your insurer, you will be covered to hire out your private fields for an XL Bully Dog on the following basis:

The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us prior to you using the field.

A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us prior to you using the field.

The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times

The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules

The dog is Micro Chipped

The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field

The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field

You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field


If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another member of the same household needs to be present to supervise the other dogs. If there is more than 1 banned breed in the household they can come together but each dog must have its own handler.

Good Morning Everyone.

We've been rather quiet recently & I've not been very good at popping up to say hello at the field!
I thought I'd pop a post on with a photo of myself and the Gwalia fields Mascot ... Chilli 🌶️

We've had some new faces at the park recently and I look forward to being able to pop up & say hello to you and your four legged friends in due course 🫶 Make sure to tag or send us any photos of your time with us 📸

On a side note: I've received a couple of messages about users of the field not picking up there dog mess over the last couple of weeks!

💩 ‼️PLEASE keep an eye on your dog and where it goes.. I am unable to be at the field at all times to do a check and it should not be up to the next bookings to pick up after someone else's dog‼️💩

Thank you to those that have picked up after others- it's very much appreciated.

The bridge before Gwalia Fields is closed from St Martin's towards Overton (B5069) Please leave extra time if coming from Chirk/Oswestry to go round the diversion.
Gwalia fields still has normal access if you are coming through Overton on dee/ellesmere area .

Apologies for the silence over the last few weeks, and if we haven't got back to anyone as quickly as usual, we've had a few things going on.

The field has been topped but sadly the light got away this evening - there is still a little left to do tomorrow🌜

1 YEAR AGO TODAY!! 🙌

A year ago, we finally got the 'GOOD TO GO!' from the council after 1 year brainstorming, 3 years of organising, 1 and a half years waiting! We can't thank you enough for the kindness and comments we've had since we opened up to you all! 🥹

We have made some wonderful friends since opening, along with having been able to have thousands of cuddles & chats for Amelia with yourselves and your four legged friends! 🐶🐾

We hope to be able to say hello to as many more of you as we can over the coming months! Thank you for all your support! 💥

A review of Gwalia fields from a Client 🫶

'Gwalia Fields has been a godsend for myself & my dogs. Firstly the parking area being completely secure means you are able to let your dogs straight out of the car, no need to put them on a lead and walk them of the road. The field is a great size with a picnic bench to sit on and watch our dogs play. The little extras that have been thought of such as tennis balls, ball throwers, 3 different bins and constant access to water with the hose all provided. We appreciate you letting us use your field, we love it and so do our dogs! The staff are so helpful to. Highly recommended ❤️'

The Field has managed to be topped in between the lovely storms we had & a new bin for general food waste!

The Red bin is for 💩

Green bin for any bottles and tins.🧃

The new grey bin is for all other waste, along with damaged tennis balls, tissues and food 😀🍗

Tongues out & the sun's out! 😛

SUMMER IS ON ITS WAY! ☀️☀️🙌🙌

🌡️ With the weather warning up, please make sure your dogs (and yourselves) have access to plenty of water whilst in the park!
The hose pipe is there to rinse your dogs off if they get to warm, along with a water container to take into the field with the water bowl.

We've had a couple messages about the odd 💩 not being picked up in the last few weeks, we'd really appreciate you all keeping an eye on your dogs whilst using the park.

We do check the field over as much as we can, but sadly we can't be in the park all the time!
