QUARTERBACK
Quaterback was the Reserve champion of the 2005 joint licensing held by the Verbands of Berlin-Brandenburg and Sachsen-Anhalt. In 2006 he was the three year old stallion champion at the Bundeschampionate with high scores for trot and canter, and 10s for rideability from both test riders.

At his 30 day performance test at Neustadt/Dosse he scored 8.89 overall, with a 9.14 dressage score and 8.43 for jumping.

As a sire, Quaterback has been greatly in demand and in a sign of the times, he has been marketed by three different stallion stations in his relatively short career. At Gerd Sosath: 2007, 2010, 2012-14, at Celle: 2009 – 2018 and at Neustadt from 2008 – 2017, 2019 – 2021.

He is certainly the sire of some very expensive babies. In 2008, he was the sire of the winner of the German Foal Championships, along with Foal Champions in Belgium, the USA, and other breeding districts in Germany. At the Verden Foal auction, a c**t by Quaterback sold for €120,000, and that c**t, Quasar de Charry went on to win a premium at the Hanoverian Licensing in 2010.

In 2009, he was the sire of the Licensing Champion in Brandenburg-Anhalt, Quäntchen Glück, and the following year, supplied the Brandenburg Riding Horse Champion, Quadroneur.

Quatergold was the dressage champion of the Brandenburg-Anhalt Licensing in 2010. Quatergold went on to be Reserve Champion at the Bundeschampionate in 2011.

Quinzanos was the reserve champion of the Oldenburger Licensing in 2011, and Quotenkönig, was reserve champion, North-Rhein Westfalian, in the same year. Quotenkönig was a reserve champion at the Bundeschampionate in 2012.

Quaterstern won the Southern German Licensing in 2012.

Quaterback is the sire of 45 licensed sons.

Johnson TN - Number One Dressage Sire WBFSH Rankings
Ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, Glock’s Johnson TN N.O.P. has risen to be one of world’s best combinations in dressage. The son of Jazz takes in the 6th placing on the FEI World Ranking, after winning the golden team medal and individual bronze at the European Championships in Aachen. “His outstanding attitude has made the greatest difference at the highest level. Even if he is almost unable to do something, Johnson will do it for you anyhow”, rider Hans Peter Minderhoud says about his number one horse. “When Johnson enters the ring, all people will sit up. He truly is a king!”.

After the phenomenal performances of Johnson in Aachen last year, you could almost forget the bronze team medal at the World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014. And of course the victories in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Spécial in Treffen, the second placings in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle in Rotterdam, et cetera.

As a sire, Johnson seems to walk in the footsteps of his sire Jazz and grandsire Flemmingh. Jazz himself performed at Grand Prix level and for many years has been among world’s best dressage sires on the WBFSH Sire Ranking. Through offspring like Krack C and Lingh, also Flemmingh has left its mark on today’s breeding of dressage horses. The offspring of Johnson make great impressions on all levels as well. The approved stallion Meggle’s Boston (Hendrik Lochthowe) already performs at Grand Prix level, while Bretton Woods (Matthias Alexander Rath) and Boston STH (Denise Nekeman) are close to it. Also on the KWPN shows, the offspring of Johnson does a fantastic job. Just think of Handsome O, the champion of the KWPN Stallion Show in 2015.

Gingell Sinden - Kempster
On 27th/28th/29th Nov, there's a whole weekend of RingCraft training at Hardwick Hall Equestrian, Shropshire, SY12 9HG.

Alex Gingell is a BD, BE, FEI DTM Dressage Judge, was on the British Junior eventing Team with Tina Cook back In the 80's. Obtained a Young Trainers scholarship with Gill Watson (Junior British Team Trainer). Ranked 31 in world ranking in 1990. Been on Ground Juries across the UK and worked with Antonia Brown, Emma Wooley, Tahley Reeves-Smith, Justine Armitage, Emma Jablonski, Maddi Burchell and Charlotte Thomas in ringcraft clinics since 2016. Studied a BA (Hons) in Equine Studies at Moreton Morrel'. Founder and MD of Hack Up Bespoke.

So we start off by putting an earpiece on you, so I don't need to shout 😀 and you can hear my comments when judging you from C at the end of the session.
- Then we allow you to warm up over 5 -10mins discussing what level you're at, the marks you usually get, the comments you usually get.
- Then we talk about quality within the 3 paces. The adjustments you can make to improve your marks on this quality. How is feels on top when the quality is 6, 6.5, 7, or even 8-9. Whether the feel on top actually matches the appearance from the floor.
- Other aspects possibly like everything feeling fab, when actually the mouth is wide open and not tracking up in working trot.
- Then we talk through, ride different movements at your level, IE the stretch, the give-retake, change of rein through trot, simple changes, leg yields, through to half pass and extended movements and changes.
- Then, if required, we ride through and dissect a particular test, whilst getting the best quality of work to get the best marks.
- It's about riding the most suitable way with the horse that you've got. So we talk about how to limit the bad movements too.
- Ringcraft pointers to encourage the judge to go up 1/2 a mark as opposed to go down 1/2 a mark. Also, I welcome anyone wanting to sit in with me whilst training others too.
- Training techniques for you to take away and work on with your trainer, to make your horse more capable to deliver for you, on the day.
- Stay for a few hours. Write a test sheet out for me whilst I judge. See what we see from C and better understand how the marks you get are arrived at.
Book a slot through the website please, or message me direct .... and get your dressage marks UP. See what it's all about ....

Grandioso III is a 16 hand 1999 bay stallion, imported from Spain to the USA in 2003. He is from the Adelante/Sevillano IX (Albero II) lines produced by the Yeguada Marin Garcia. He is baroque in type with modern movement-straight and forward, naturally uphill, with exceptional hind leg action.

As a young horse in the United States, Grandioso showed successfully in the lower levels, and was the recipient of many Open High Point Awards, as well as the ANCCE Champion of the Breed at Fiesta Florida 2006. In 2008 Grandioso's training was taken over by two-time World Cup competitor and Olympian Courtney King-Dye. In 2009, the pair qualified for the USET Festival of Champions in Gladstone at Intermediare I, where they finished 5th in the country. In early 2010, Grandioso was introduced to Intermediare II in Wellington with scores continuing above 68%. King-Dye's tragic accident on another horse side-lined Grandioso's hopes for a chance at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky with an American rider.

In 2011, Grandioso left the United States to travel first to Germany for a few months, and then to Spain to be campaigned for that country by rider Jose Daniel Martin Dockx with the help of National Trainer Jan Bemelmans. After only one international competition and a handful of national shows at Grand Prix, Martin Dockx and Grandioso were named Champions of Spain at the National Dressage Championships in Toledo in October. In 2012, they continued to gain experience at the international Grand Prix around Europe, with exceptional results for their first year of international competition for both horse and rider. In August 2012, the pair were named to the Spanish Team for the 2012 London Olympics and finished 29th of 50 in London. Now in 2013, Grandioso and Martin Dockx are ranked in the top 25 horses in the world and have won eight of their first eight starts at Grand Prix with scores ranging to 72% in the Grand Prix and 79% in the Kur. At CHIO Nations Cup Aachen, they were the only Spanish pair to finish in the ribbons in the Grand Prix Kur, where they performed a Master Class in Spanish equitation, receiving over 78% and 8th Place in the highly electric Deutsche Bank Stadium.
