MIRACULOUS MILLY!
Believe it or not Milly is nearly 17 years old. She has had ongoing issues with osteoarthritis for many years and at one point was on 3 different pain relief medications to try and give her a good quality of life (as you can see she has plenty of zest for life but her legs were giving up on her!)
In April 2023 she started to refuse to take her medication and we decided to trial her on Librela - a medication that she receives at the practice once a month by an injection under the skin.
Librela is a relatively new medication that acts on pain in a completely new way - by reducing the pain signals being sent from the source of pain.
Milly responded really well, even after the first injection there was a noticeable spring in her step again. Now, 16 months down the line, she is still racing around the garden having zoomies and no longer has to take any other pain relief.
