Have you ever wanted to give a home to an older cat? 😍

The lovely Talitha is available for adoption here at North Wales Cat Centre. She is a 17-year-old female who came into care due to her owner sadly passing away. For an older girl, Talitha is an active cat who can still be found playing with ping-pong balls and jumping around her pen with no trouble. She also enjoys nothing more than curling up on your lap for as long as you'll let her, as she adores human company - so much so that she'll follow you around her pen until you finally settle and give her a fuss.

Due to Talitha being an older cat we feel she is being overlooked a little, but the vets have signed her off with a clean bill of health and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in adopting 😸

Take a look at this cutie-pie 🥰

This is Klara, a 10-year-old black and white female who is looking for her forever home after her owner sadly passed away. She is also our longest stay, having been in care since September (that's 112 days as of this post being made). She has unfortunately been held back a little due to some health issues, but is now medication free and ready to got home 😊
Klara is a lovely and friendly girl, always coming to greet you at her door when you enter her pen. Klara loves a fuss and human attention, but is also content to just sit next to you in your company. If you think Klara could be the cat for you, please pop down to the centre during our opening hours.

Meet the beautiful sisters Pebble and Scree ❤
This 6-year-old pair are looking to find a home together after being brought into care this January. Both are friendly girls, Scree is the more confident of the two and loves coming to you for fusses and cuddles. Pebble is a little more timid, but has been building up her confidence and will now approach to head bump your hand to ask for a fuss. They are also very bonded, and can always be found sitting together on their cat tree.
If you've ever wanted two cats the safest option is to adopt a pair who already enjoy each others company. Could these two be the pair you've been waiting for? 😸

If you are interested in meeting this lovely pair, pop down to the centre between 11 AM and 2:30 PM for a chance to meet them. (We are closed on Tuesdays).

Have you met the gorgeous Benny?

Despite his raggedy appearance, this lovely ginger and white boy has won the hearts of the staff and volunteers here at North Wales Cat Centre 🥰
Benny came into care from a multi-cat household after his previous owner went into care, and after some medication to get him in good shape he is now ready to find his forever home.
He is a very content and happy boy and adores whenever anyone goes to spend time with him; always purring and enjoying lots of fusses and attention. He will also follow you around his pen and rub around your legs until you sit down and will then settle on your lap. He was a little shy when he first came into care so may be reserved when going into a new home. However, we are sure he will be a lovely companion for someone once he has settled. As you can see by his pictures he has been through a bit and has a little operation under his eye. The hair around his eye will eventually grow back and he will look in tip top condition.
If you think Benny could be the cat you've been waiting for (and we hope he is!) please pop down to the centre between 11 AM and 2:30 PM.

This year Cats Protection has seen a 30% increase in Cat Abandonment, our mission is to make ‘Life better for Cats’ 💜
We are asking for your support to enable to us to continue to help cats like Suze, who was taken into our care at the North Wales Cat Centre after being abandoned

Suze suddenly turned up at the North Wales Cat Centre one day hiding amongst the bushes of the cattery between blocks of cat pens 🏠😺
We would see her peaking out when ever it was feeding time for the cats in care 👀

In the year 2024, we have successfully rehomed 328 cats and kittens.
We looked after cats who needed care because their owners passed away, went into care, couldn’t afford veterinary bills, couldn’t be found or moved to a home where they couldn’t have pets. Some cats who came into our care needed some extra attention from our staff due to their specific behaviour needs. Some cats required extensive treatment and long-term care. We also had lots of pregnant cats or mothers with kittens. Our dedicated staff spent lots of time with them following detailed socialisation plan to ensure the kittens were adapted to a home environment and could thrive in their new homes.
Our centre also supported other Cats Protection centres and services through over 20 transfers.
But none of this would be possible without the help of out volunteers and supporters throughout 2024! These are some of the cats we have cared for, with your support, in the past year.

North Wales Cat Centre would like to thank you all and wish you and wish you a Happy New Year!

Meet Talitha, a vocal and friendly female looking for her forever home.
Talitha loves human company, and will meow at her pen door if she knows someone is about to come in for a cuddle. Talitha loves sitting on laps and adores human company and dribbles from purring so much. We don't know how old exactly Talitha is, we think in the range of 15-17 years. But whatever her age, she is very spritely and is very active around her pen and loves to bat about ping pong balls. We also know that in her previous home she loved exploring the outdoors, however, Talitha is hard of hearing so we would love to find her a home with a secure garden away from busy roads, so she can have a potter about. We feel that Talitha would make a wonderful companion for someone so please be sure to pop down to the centre during our opening hours or get in touch to find out more.

Watch a lovely video of Talitha greeting our staff member.

Meet our lovely boy Naveen who has unfortunately been brought back into care after being adopted 4 years ago, as his owner has sadly had to go into a care home. Naveen is now back and on the lookout for his new home. Naveen is a friendly boy and will always come down to greet you and to get some fusses. He still enjoys playing and likes to especially play with fishing rod type toys with string, so he can chase them around. He does not like other cats so he would preferably like to be the only pet in the household so he can get all the attention to himself.
If you are interested in Naveen you can come down to the centre between the hours of 11-2:30 we are closed Tuesdays but open every other day.

Pretty boy Denver is smiling for the camera in the hopes of winning somebody over and finding himself a new home. 😸📸

2 year old Denver came into care after straying in the area. After being a wary boy and staying well over arms length for a while, Denver eventually fell for our flirting and started to accept some fusses from us. Now, he's completely transformed and has become a total lap cat! He's all for cuddles and kisses and wants nothing more than a good fuss. 😽

Denver is FIV positive, so he'll need to be an indoor only boy from this point forward, but as long as he's got plenty to do, and a lap to sit on, we don't think he'll mind this too much.

If you'd like to offer Denver the perfect home, please pop to the centre at any point during our open hours of 11:00 until 2:30 (latest admission), any day except Tuesday. We'll also be closed Christmas day, Boxing and New Years Day.

Bueno and Ferrero Rocher are 7 month old pair of boys. 🍫
They can be very timid and are wary of new people, but once you get to know them they do come out of their shell and will accept fusses. Bueno is the more confident out of the pair and will come out first.
In their last home they were known to sit on laps and have lots of attention and enjoyed being groomed, so we are hoping once they get a nice home they will soon settle in and gain in confidence.

If you were interested in this lovely pair please come down to the centre between the hours of 11:00 and 2:30 (latest admission). We are closed Tuesdays and will be closed on Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Years Day

UPDATE: Now reserved!
