Covering a trapped cat
Some feral cats are much harder to catch than others! Last week our volunteer team successfully caught a large male cat who has been evading the traps for a while. He was neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and returned to his territory
We've helped 15 cats on this farm, and will be out again this week to try and catch the remaining few 💜🐾
Comment below if you know why we cover the traps up straight away 👇
Little 1 year old Briar is still with us after almost 100 days in care. 😿
Briar is an energetic lad, who adores any and all playtime. He's a big fan of fishing rod toys, jingly balls and squishy mice, though he's also been known to find entertainment in water, so water fountains, mini pools (even just a clean litter tray with water in it), or his own water bowl could be a good time for him. 💧
Briar is looking for a home without children, and would prefer to be the only cat in the household, as he loves his food, and so wouldn't want to feel as though he has to share.
If you could offer little Briar a home full of fun, please visit the centre at any point during our open hours of 11:00 until 2:30 (latest entry), any day except Tuesday, to meet him.
Please bring along some form of proof of address, or your landlords permission to own a cat.
Take a look are our darling Tilly, who is currently residing at one of our fosterers homes, but is still available for adoption. 😺
Tilly is a sweet little lady who loves a good cuddle and will come straight over for a fuss, the second you sit down. She's not a fan of other cats or dogs, so would be best fitted to a home without either, but she's recently met a child, who she enjoyed a fuss from. We think particularly young children would likely upset her, but we would be happy for her to go home with children around 12 and up.
Despite her age, Tilly is still a playful girl and really enjoys her fishing rod toys. She'll actually come to ask for some playtime when she's feeling energetic! 🥳
Tilly does have stage 2 kidney disease, so she's on a special diet to keep her as healthy as possible for as long as possible, but we can tell you more about this on site.
If you are interested in Tilly, please fill out a homefinder form by clicking the 'Enquire about Tilly' button at the bottom of her profile linked below. We can look at arranging for Tilly to come back to the centre for the day if you would like to meet her

13 year old Gertie is still settling into life her at the centre, but becoming more confident everyday, and this morning enjoyed a lovely long lap fuss with one of our staff. She is a gorgeous tortoiseshell who came into care due to her previous owner sadly passing away. She is a curious girl, who is very inquisitive, and likes a fuss and a stroke but only on her terms, as she has been known to give a little love-nip when she gets overstimulated. We think Gertie would suit a quieter home with no young children, but she has lived with another cat before so think she could do so again with a slow introduction 😽
If you think Gertie is the cat for you don't hesitate to get in touch and follow the link below:

Have you met the lovely Jasmin?
Jasmin is a 1 eared female that is very affectionate, and loves a fuss (as you can see!) - though she's still had no interest. Could we get her a home before she becomes an official long-stay in 10 days?

Mitzi Woo, also known as: Mitzi, The Woo, Twoo, Beautiful Darling Angel and Moowoo.
The Woo is our current longest stay resident at 138 days and she has had quite the change since day 1!
When Mitzi first came into our care, we were warned that she may be a little sassy. This little princess liked things done her way and sticking to her usual routine. Of course, coming into care meant that routine was no more, and Mitzi was displeased.
For a while after her arrival, Mitzi stayed tucked into her step, only venturing out for food and to yell at staff. Time in her pen was usually accompanied by hissing and growling to really bring home the point that she was very put out by the whole situation.
Luckily for The Woo, her sass got her a ticket to our fancy behaviour room which is more spacious that the usual pens, and we quickly saw a little improvement in her attitude, though she was still unhappy with us.
This was the point that we all agreed that a holiday to one of our fosterers would be ideal for her, and so said fosterer popped in for a few days to introduce herself to our little princess and they got on incredibly well. So Mitzi was unceremoniously popped into a carrier and was whisked away to a temporary home environment.
This was the real turning point for our little lady, who made herself at home very quickly. Mitzi was amazingly spending lots of time out of her hiding place, playing with toys, accepting a well needed brush and SLEEPING ON HER FOSTERERS LAP!! We've got a gold mine of information on Mitzi's likes and dislikes, the way to her heart (biscuits) and were able to get on top of her little ongoing health issue.
Mitzi spent a good while with the fosterer but had to pop back into care recently where she's been officially signed off as fit to home by our vets. We're incredibly pleased with her progress as despite being back in one of our usual pens, she's still showing off her lovely side and accepting plenty of cuddles from lots of our volunteers so
6 year old Dakota enjoying some head scratches 🥰🐾
Dakota has had very little interest as of late, and this cutie just loves a fuss. (Makes cleaning out her pen very difficult when all she wants to do is sit on you!)

This handsome man is Bodovan.
Bodovan is a lovely 2 year old black and white long haired male. He often spends his time watching us staff and volunteers clean around his pen. Bodovan was fairly shy when he first arrived with us, however he is really starting to come out of his shell now- he is approaching us for fusses and is a very friendly boy.
Bodovan has lived with other cats before so could potentially live in a home with another cat as long as there is a nice slow introduction. If you are interested in this lovely boy then please get in touch.

9 year old Florence has flown under the radar a little, and is finding cattery life quite tough. She needs a quiet household where she can have the space and time to come out of her shell a little. As you can see though, after 33 days in care she is finally warming up a little, and enjoys making biscuits and padding away while you sit with her.
